Nae82 - Trying to stay on track

ok.. so I went online to gather anything I may need to print and take to class with me (its a "blended" course where we meet 2 days a week, but also do work online) and realized that out of the 15 people enrolled, I'm the only female.. lovely. Well, there may be one other.. I'm not sure about the name Hildegard. I guess that may be a woman. We'll see.

how the hell do you pronounce that?

Gosh.. the first day of class is always sooooo boring. It's the same thing every class, every semester. blah. (I'm in class now, came here in hopes of entertainment)

Nice workout - you might want to pick up The New Rules of Lifting, by Alwyn Cosgrove and Lou Schuler. I'm going through the Break-In program at the moment and am liking it.

Thanks. I'll check it out..
broke college student at the moment though. textbooks eating up all of my $$$$

Do what everyone else seems to do - go to Barnes and Nobles or Borders and read it there, then put it back on the shelf. lol

haha.. that's a great idea! if it's raining tomorrow, i think i will do that.. but if it's nice and sunny.. you can find me at the pool!

yesterdays wo was 20 mins HIIT.. usually i jog/run/jog/run.. but i had to walk a little yesterday.

today is the usual full body. thinking about going back to a split in a couple weeks. maybe.

havent worked out all weekend! my dad had to go to the hospital last night and had surgery this morning for a ruptured disk in his neck or something. so, between going back and fourth from the hospital and to my dads house to watch my lil bro, i ate like crap and didnt exercise. I'm too worn out now to go to the gym. back at it tomorrow.

i feel the need for something sweet. i have oatmeal cookies in the oven
oh well, i'll eat one or two and take the rest to work tomorrow.. they will be gone fast.

haha! i just used the recipe on the quaker oats container, but.. guess what.. I substituted 1/2 of the butter for pb. lol :D

1 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups Quicker Quaker Oats or Old-Fashioned Quaker oats, uncooked
1 cup raisins

Heat oven to 350°F Beat together margarine and sugars until creamy.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; mix well.
Stir in oats and raisins; mix well.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
Makes about 4 dozen.
Bar Cookies: Bake 30 to 35 minutes in ungreased 13 x 9-inch metal baking pan.

Thanks! :D

Still feeling the wrath of Monday last night.. didn't go to the gym.. ate chicken salad and 1/2 cup cottage cheese... sat on my behind and watched CSI, House, and of course Family Guy.

Today I'm back at it though. I get off of work at 3:30, then to the gym, then I have to be in class by 6.. I may have to sit in the back corner or something if I sweat a lot at the gym lol.

I never used to watch any of those CSI or Law & Order shows until recently. Now Im watching reruns every night on USA or Spike. House is a great show as well.

I notice you pyramid reps, why not start with the lower rep/higher weight first?
