Barefoot Contessa's Hummus Recipe | Recipezaar

(and yes, pics are always welcome... :))

another amazingly simple recipe. I've just been buying it at whole foods.. red pepper hummus.. yummmm. :) once i run out of what i have.. ill be making that! my bf is going to be highly confused as in the past ive stuck to the fact that i hate cooking and dont really know how! (half of which has been a ploy to get him in the kitchen)

Ah but the kitchen is where the magic happens... watch or read Like Water for Chocolate :)

And the only way you'll figure out how is by trial and error - once you get a recipe down though you'll be rather surprised and delighted by what you can come up with.

Very trial by error. I've tried to make recipes that just turn out (like the chicken last night, but that was my fault..didn't buy the right sauce). Don't get bummed out when it happens. Just try different recipe or make that specific recipe again and try to remember what you did or didn't do. You might need to take this specific ingredient out or add one here and there. Who knows you might come up with a recipe on your own.

*Hint - The zaar is only $24.95/year to be a member. I would really think about it.

what extra benefits do you get by being a member?

this morning i had the usual, kashi golean with soy milk. 1/2 grapefruit
10am - dozen almonds, 1/2 english muffin toasted
was running late this morning and did not grab anything for lunch.. i hate do do it but will probably run to subway. i have a can of tuna but plan on eating that around 2 or 3

The main benefits of having a paid membership (in my opinion) getting access to the site without any ads appearing, and the ability to create multiple cookbooks (so as to better keep track of your growing saved recipe collections).

I would agree with that but if you don't think you want a membership right now take advantage of the free my cookbook they give you and put your saved recipes in there. Once you've been on there while and you think you would like a membership then I would get one.

Thanks, I'll look into it after a while. Not sure I cook enough to do that though. My cooking usually consist of cooking a whole bunch of chicken breasts at once and chopping up a whole bunch of veggies.. chicken and salad all week.. hehe.

anyway. went to subway, but got a salad instead of a sandwich. and mixed some whey with water for protein. about to eat some tuna and hummus.

also just drank a glass (well, cup - not measurment) of green tea.

hitting the HIIT today.. 45 - 60 mins.

mahi mahi for dinner tonight, about to look on zaar for some recipes. :D

cooking the pb granola bars tonight too

Greene isn't a fish fan or I would try to cook it. The only fish that he'll eat is Long John Silver's because it doesn't taste like fish..:D

haha.. my bf is the same way! he likes seafood, but not fish.. go figure.
he's out of town, so i get to make whatever i want!! :D :D :D

Hey!! I haven't been in for a while, so I thought I would stop in and say hi. :D

I hate fish/seafood, etc. Well, except tuna. LOL Good luck with it!!

I've made each of these recipes multiple times - I can vouch for them. NOTE: the pineapple chicken lo mein recipe never tells you when to add the pineapple into the wok/skillet - I add it with the chicken.

Looks good..don't forget to rate it!

just did. Thanks!
