and how are you doing with the sugar? It is doooooable... today my yogurt tastes super sweet,,, probably because it is the sweetest thing I have eaten in a few (exactly 3 and a wakeup) days.

handstand press ups-- wow! i cant even do a push up (because of wrist problems) i can manage to do a few holding dumbells though.

oh.. and today is day 3 of no sweets.

however, i have a lunch meeting today and we're going italian.. and.. they ALWAYS order desert.. i dunno what i'm gonna do!
 
ENJOY!! If you choose to have a desert, likle the italian-o ice" enjoy it as a reward. if you choose to refrain for the sake of fitnees and discipline, enjoy the fact that you have fitnees and discipline..

Well I'm not sure how different it will be, but they are supposed to release The New Rules of Lifting for Women just after Christmas.
 
i saw that.. i just dont want to wait until december. i think im just going to get this one and there is another one that leigh recommended. i'll see what i get out of those for starters. :)
 
ok, i didn't go all out italian, and just had some grilled salmon.. they cover it in some sort of sauce so i asked for that on the side and ate just a little. had steamed brocolli and didnt eat the mashed potatoes.. no desert either. took forever to get our food then we were just talking away.. 2 hours later we relized we should get back to the office. now i need a nap!
 
20 mins HIIT yesterday on the bike. it was killer because my legs were sore from the day before, but they feel great now.

go home from the gym and there is a little bag of chips and a huge cookie on the counter. my bf texts me and says that he left me some chips and a cookie. grrr.. but i knew that if i didnt eat them, he would today.. so i didnt. but i cant count how many times i walked in that kitchen and picked up the cookie.. and put it back down.

so day is day 4 with no sweets.. this oatmeal is tasting pretty damn sweet today lol

wow... thank you for sharing your struggle too. last night I had ice cream in a cup and then thought-- I already posted my food, I am already done eating for today," and drank a glass of cold water and went to bed. When I dumped the ice cream in the trash, I thought, wow, that was trash that I almost put in my body.

It's not about being anti icecream, but it is definately about getting thru this curve in dietary change.

wow.. threw it in the trash! that's will-power! I don't think i could have thrown the cookie in the trash. he's going out of town today for the weekend so i knew he would take it with him if i didnt eat it.. luckily it (the cookie) wont be there to torture me all weekend. we'll see how this goes... weekends are def my biggest weakness.
 
I think I'm on either day 4 or 5 with no cheating either. Very hard to do but I can do it. Good job on putting down the cookie...:)
 
wow.. it's been about 16 days since I last posted. Ive been crazy busy, working a lot of OT, finishing up my summer classes, getting ready for vacation.. yatta yatta.. anyway..

i started a push/pull split and it's going great. i love splits for some reason. ive been doing push/pull/cardio/push/pull/cardio/off. haven't been counting calories at all, but not eating anything too bad.. I'm working on a slow bulk which is hard for me because i usually dont eat enough.

I'm going on vacation next week, and when I get back, I'll get back to counting calories more seriously.

all is well. :)
 
ok, i'm back from vacation :mad: did no exercise, except a lot of walking, and ate a lot of junk food. probably gained 10lbs lol.. and not the 10lbs I want to gain. anyway, i'll be back in the gym today, but giving myself until Monday to really get back on track with my push/pull split and diet.
 
Welcome back - vacations are made to relax and let go for a bit... Now that you're back to real life and responsibility you can focus again on your fitness goals. Are you NROL-enabled yet?
 
I just ordered the book, so i'll be taking a look at it as soon as it comes in. i'll probably actually start it in a few weeks.

yesterday i did a fbw. today will be just cardo. tomorrow another fbw. rest on sunday and get back to the push pull split on Monday.

my numbers dropped slightly, which sucks, but I expected it. I'm also having to re-hydrate. I DEF did not drink enough water while out in the Florida sun.
