Thanks..I'll have to make them soon...:D

I never used to watch any of those CSI or Law & Order shows until recently. Now Im watching reruns every night on USA or Spike. House is a great show as well.

I notice you pyramid reps, why not start with the lower rep/higher weight first?

House is awsome. When he's not in character...I love to hear his accent...:D

so there are no benefits of "pyramiding" (if thats a word) my weights?
I feel that i can push (or pull) more weight if i build up to it. should i just do a couple sets with lower reps and higher weight then?
thanks btw.

Well lets say you do 100x10, 125x8, 150x6, and 175x4. After 24 reps you're using your highest weight. Whereas if you started at 4 reps you could probably lift 185-200, 165x6, etc. Pyramiding isnt bad, I was just wondering why you were doing it thats all.

makes perfect sense. I try to start with the heavier weight next time and see how it feels.. after doing one warm up set with low weight.

House is Awesome, I love that show! That and Boston Legal are the best shows on TV.

Remember your warm ups. One thing nice about slowing increasing weights/decreasing reps is it allows better "readiness" of your muscle (in simple terms) for the heavy stuff. Hitting your max at like 4-6 reps right out of the gate might be bad with out some type of proper warm up. IMO of course.

I've never actually watched Boston Legal. Truthfully, I rarely watch TV. usually, just the few minutes before I fall asleep.

I would def do a warm up set before jumping in to the really heavy stuff ;)

Hey- I like mustard on my can of tuna too. Cool. it helps make my mouth juice up.

great log,, you are a lifter. I am trying to work weights in, but I have only gone and lifted once. I do mostly body weight stuff. I can push 20 balanceing handstand press-ups. But I have no idea what i can bench or anything. Another motivator for me to seek a weight pile,,, thanks for that!
