Good job so far, guys!

Nicole, thanks for the advice :) I can't believe you work in a candy factory, you poor thing! But, yes I would imagine you'd be so sick of candy you wouldn't want any (and especially if you could see all the junk that goes into the food!!)

Down 1.5 lbs this week, which I'm happy with! I had one bad day which involved chocolate, cake and several slices of heavy bread---so to come back from that with a loss was good!
Here's to a week of no slip-ups!! (fingers crossed.... ;) )

I would have liked to loose more this week, but I can't complain after last week's impressive drop. May gain it back after this weekend, Beer-B-Q's... I think I'll stick to the light beer and the salads, haha. Its been cool out so I ran a lot outside this week, 6 miles on Tuesday, wooo. Even ran into a little family of bunny rabbits during my run through the trails by my house, they were adorable!

A little loss is better than a gain

I edited my post for the weight loss this week, but thought I'd post here too. I lost .4 lbs this week. Not a great success, but pretty good considering i haven't jogged all week. My shins are absolutely killing me, so figured I needed some good healing time. I had odd bruises on my shins too, which I'm not quite sure if they're associated with the shin splints or what.

I digress, we also had a heat wave last week. My cabin was a big sweltering box of heat and I didn't have the bravery to put on my workout dvd. I know, excuses excuses. I did however heat pretty healthy this week and also did a bit of weight lifting one evening.

Even just this 1/2 lb makes me motivated though. I know that if I hit it hard next week (maybe 2 times jogging & 2 dvd workouts) I'll see better results next Friday.
 
PaintedDaisy every little ounce counts!! Don't worry about it not being a big loss everyone has good weeks and bad!! I am proud of you for the .4!!:) I know how hard it is to lose even 1 ounce. Keep up the motivation and I can't wait to see how you do next week!!
 
Hey guys! Hope everyone had a better week than me. I'm really hoping the one pound increase was muscle and not fat. I really tried doing good this week even though the weekend was hard with two parties to go to and the 2nd one not having a big selection of healty food to choose from. I'm shooting for three for next week. Gonna work out harder and start adding more crunches!!!!

Well yesterday was horrid after eating the chinese food the prior night,
my sugar level in the morning ... was forty two points higher than it ever should get ... I was at 182 MG/dL

so that sucked and the night prior, after eating, went to 190..
so I took my metaformin, diabetic, more pre-diabetic medication and it went down to 125 ...so that was good ..still felt awful ...but got better ..than ate something sweet over night and than I was having the heeby jeebies .... I felt so sick ...

So no more .. if you read my diary ... you will see where I am at and what I am doing to try and go from pre-diabetic, borderline full onset diabetic, and I was to be non- diabetic ..
so I have pounds to shed and have to think very carefully about what I eat ..pretty much .. I almost can't eat anything and have to drink water and iced decaf tea ...because caffiene will make your meds not work ..BUT my thought is some caffiene is essential ..which I have heard or read ...

so ... I drink one cup ..maybe ...or sips ...of Diet Pepsi...

its actually not bad if you only drink it once in a while ...but it doesnt taste that good once you erradicate it from your diet ... but if I put it on really cold ice ...it tastes pretty good ..so a little is not bad ...

if I am going to take in sugar .. I would rather eat fruit than drink the juice, but the juice has more sugar

the only thing I can't eat ..is bananas ...they have the most sugar than any fruit ... icks. ..and they were my favorite fruit ...
but I ate blackberries this morning and they were wonderful ...
some 0 sugar melba toasts ... its good ... only a few carbs ... I found them at Trader Joes ... very strange food there ...but good food for some of me ..that I can actually eat ..
I can't snack anymore ... I take a piece here and there ...but the sugar is so iffy .. I can't afford to do much of anything ... lol

oh well ..
BUT today ..my sugar is down where it is supposed to be .. I am not overeating ...
no more potatos ... oh well ...

but ... I am very gleeful today ..
the sky is shining ..the blue is beautiful ..
its a perfect day for a walk ..we are walking to Target to get shoes for my sister ..and a good day possibly to fit in a bike ride ...
tomorrow I am going to be working at the library and going to the fair ...and than Sunday we are bike riding to the beach and parking our butts on the sand and enjoying the beautiful 81 degree weather ..finally feeling like summer!
and than swim swim and swim ..:) Ocean water feels so good ..its so cold ..between the hot air and cold water .. I feel like I have hit heaven on Earth ..

I love nature!
and PaintedDaisy .. I wouldnt worry ... even the .4 is a beautiful spot to land ... still heading down ... best wishes ...

Well I only dropped 2 pounds in my 2nd week. I am happy for the loss, but I also feel like it could of been more. Next week I definetly need to get on the ball, I just have not been exercising. I've also only been eating like 2 maybe three meals a day. So I know I need to spread it out to 6 meals.
 
Hey natalieJo, Looks like you have a good set up. Keep up the great work, I noticed when someone stays busy, their less likely to munch, Thats the way i've been, I would snack and snack, just because I was bored or there was nothing else to do.

Yea .. I like to keep busy ...
When I am busy .. I may walk around the house I may grab for some fruit ... or some no sugar item ..or close to it anyway ...

normally I would be snacking out ... but I am pre-diabetic ..so I need to not snack out ..or snack out on items that won't raise my sugar level ..
and so .. I am losing weight ...lmao .. I will lose weight ...because I am on "The diabetic diet for hypoglycemics .... I have too much sugar going on ...
if I eat too much sugar will make me sick or make me go into a sugar coma ...

so ... I need to do this and am...

well, when i weighed myself on friday i was the same weight.. at least i didn't gain any. that was my main goal. last week was really hard. this week i plan to do better. i want to be down at least 1 if not 2 pounds. we'll see. i'm glad to see how great everyone is doing!
 
Well, I snuck on the scale today just see what it said because I had a really bad weekend. I was surpise to see that I was sound to 222.0 so a half a pound from two weeks ago. I guess it kind of helped that I was really sick Saturday night. Not that I want to be sick to loose weight, but it helped a little.
 
So I have been eating ice scream for three days now ...bad! Bad me!
No more ice scream ..they just brought it home and there it was ...but I am not touching it again ...

I had lost to 295, but am back up to 297 and I have been working out hard core ...

oh well ... you live... you learn

So I decided instead of laze around and do nothing .. I might as well do something to walk off what I ate..some of it anyway ..

so I just came back from a forty minute walk ...achy, but feeling good about myself...very good and I might ...this is might ...go for a bike ride later in the evening ..or a twenty minute stroll with my sister ...

Is a good idea definately ..meaning the twenty minute stroll ...

and someone waved at me again .. I think its all my "Hello" s that I say to everyone in Somersworth ... People recognize me ...but I never recognize them when I am walking ...
I notice people once in a while when I am walking ..."Hey .. I said hi to that person ..yea" So I say hi again ...

There are some really nice people around here... thats the conclusion I have come from ...
