Weight-Loss Falling Off For Fall Challenge!!

Weight-Loss
Wow, looks like I forgot to weigh in last week. I did weigh myself however and even though I thought I had a terrible week (haven't been feeling well so wasn't able to run as much as I usually do and I drank lots of beer over the weekend) suprisingly I had great results! I recommend the little running & lots of beers diet, hahaha, j/k. I'm feeling better and back on the wagon this week.

I bought this Women's Health Wedding Workout dvd and just got it in the mail the other day.
It seems like a lot of fun (just checked out the menu and took a glimpse at what the workouts look like) and yeah, I think I can get on board with this. I hope to do it 3 times a week. A part of me knows that if i did it 4-5 times a week I'd get better results, but I figure it's best to start small.

I got on the scale this morning and I am back down those 2 icky pounds I had gained by weigh in last friday. Now if I can maintain this loss and maybe add a pound by this friday I will be a much happier camper!! I am going to do my pilates at least once a day maybe that will help!

Aaah the weather's so miserable here, I don't want to go out to go to the gym!!! But I will!!

I don't have a problem motivating myself to exercise, because I love it so much, but aaah it's hard to motivate myself to eat less...because I love food so much!

Anyone got some words of encouragement/wisdom for me???

:)

Ok... so I finally made some headway ... was 299 ...went down to 297 ...but I will probably stay at 297 pounds on the Friday weigh in ...

cool...
and dragon ...
I can understand I gained before I lost anything ... icks

I feel the same way you guys do. I had such a bad weekend! Well, I should say I was bad this weekend, and the fact that I haven't been feeling the greatest hasn't been helping much. Hang in there guys! We can do it!

I am doing my little happy dance:jump: (it doesn't look like this smiley though!) I got on my scale this morning and I was down 1 pound!! Dance, dance!!! Now if I can keep it off!!

Woo, well done Dragon and Natalie Jo!

Now time for MY happy dance :jump: --I did a 7.5 mile run today, came home as, yes, so far I have resisted the bad food....woooooo, had a salmon fillet with tomato sauce, and then some fruit later I suppose.
GO US!

Good for you!!:) Dance away!! Salmon sounds soooo good! I think I need to be heading to the store for some soon!

I stood on the scale this morning and it said 205.4 :jump: sweetness!! I drank all of my water yesterday and have already had 40oz this morning!! I did 20 minutes of pilates last night. I don't know if I will get them in tonight since I am going to be wall scrubbing and floor scrubbing after work today and those two things are very tiring!I can't wait for tomorrows weigh in I am hoping that the scale still says 205!!

Again, like last week, I'm a little worried about getting on the scale tomorrow. I snuck on it this morning, and I'm the same weight, but I had a really good workout last night and drank over 2 liters of water when I got done. I was soooo thirsty. I'm trying to do really well today, so the scale will be good tomorrow.

That's like a work-out in itself!
I'm looking forward to tomorrow too--I think I'll only be down one lb, but that's not bad--any weight loss is a gain for me!
Did a 2 hour gym workout today---wrecked now! Came home and the family were getting Chinese takeaway---no thank you, I didn't want to ruin all my hard work!!

Good luck tomorrow!

YesICan, I recommend just making better choices for your food if you're really in love with it. I eat quite often throughout the day, really rarely hungry, but I (usually) eat healthy things, or things with low calories & high fiber/protein. Lots of fruit, veggies and whole grains. Also water helps. If you're a flavor fanatic, try tea, or those little pouches (ie crystal lite) that you put in water bottles are great.
I'm also constantly surrounded by temptation, I work in the marketing department at a very large candy factory, so there's free candy of all kinds EVERYWHERE. But in a way it's helped me overcome temptation, by working with the stuff all day it makes it very unappealing, and actually seeing how its made (I'll spare you from the factory stories) reaaaly makes it unappealing, so I'm pretty much swarn off candy for good now.
Hope this helps a bit, keep up the good work and good luck!

Hey everyone! It looks like for the most part, we are all doing great! This week has been really hard for me. THe drs were running a bunch of tests on my littlest one. But after all is said and done ..... nothing is wrong with her at all! Unfortunately, all we had available to eat all week, was hospital food & mcdonalds - only 5 km from the hospital. Oh yeah - and my husbands favorite pasta place. I'm just hoping not to have gained any. I was down 4 last week, so if I stay where I am, that will still be 2 lbs a week - just about what I need.

YesICan - I'm in bitburg Germany, about 30 minutes from Luxembourg, and 2 - 2.5 hours from Frankfurt. I'm in the Rhineland-Pfalz area. In otherwards - in the country! Where are you going to be going in July? We are either going to take a break to Barcelona, Rome or back to London for a weekend in July hopefully. DH has been busy at work and needs a break. We went to Europa park about 2 weeks ago or so, and that wasn't really a getaway!

Everyone keep up the good work and don't forget to weigh in tomorrow!!!!!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, But I think the winner for week one was..... SHYJESTA - with a 7 pound loss!!!!!!!!! Congrats! Keep up the good work everyone!

I'm excited for the weigh in tomorrow.
I had gone up to in-laws over the weekend - my mother in law has lost a ton of weight on Weight Watchers, and I love her to death, but I know how she's been losing the weight - pushing it on others! That and beer did me in this weekend, but I've been working my butt off to make up for it, and I had lost a few pounds as of this morning, so hoping for the same trend tomorrow.

Hlangel, glad to hear your little one's doing well.

Good luck tomorrow, guys!

Hi, I found this forum yesterday and hoping you'll allow me to be included in this challenge, even though I'm a bit late in joining. My current weight is 194.5 and I'm hoping to be at 170 by Sept 9 (my birthday!).
