WTF Is Overtraining?

Iv`e just had a quick read through your thread (sorry if youv`e already answered this) but why did you stop cutting and do a total flip into a 300lb bulk???

And in your next cut what weight are you looking for???

I`m only asking because im looking at a 6 month bulk starting in september to about 230lbs and im worried whether i can carry the weight(5ft9-10)

so how the hell will you manage to carry yours (6ft 2)

I was sitting at 230 at 5'8". I gained it a bit too fast and I body didn't have enough time to really get used to the weight so I was having trouble sleeping (snoring, breathing, etc). I've done the slow road to 220 with no problems before.

Yeah, sleeping is a bitch if you gain fast, last time I hit about 230 my girlfriend started going crazy at me for waking her with my snoring. I'm back up to 224 now with lower BF and I'm still not snoring. In fact, I don't sweat as much either
 
Sorry about not posting yesterday, it was a public holiday in the UK so I was off doing family stuff. I managed to clear the yard and lay new carpet in my bedroom so quite productive

Also saw the new Indiana Jones movie. Not bad overall but the Russian weren’t that scary, the alien thing was just dumb and Ford’s teeth upstaged him slightly. Still, it’s good that he’s back

Damn, it's been about 9 days since my girlfriend was put 'out of action' and I'm getting so frustrated I'm going to start doing damage to furniture soon :mad:

Right now I'm just holding DB's by the handle but what I'm supposed to be doing is holding them at the ends. Problem is that the DB's at my gym are very wide so I can't pick them up at all by the weighted end so I'll have to wait until I find some that I can do that with

Did the Intervals thing on the treadmill again, it's bloody tough but I'm going to vary it up next week and use the bikes as running on a treadmill bores me to death

Oh, also did 3x10 ATG squats @ 220lbs because I felt like pushing my depth a little. Was pleased with the results too, soon I'll be able to charge to gym for cleaning their floor

Use a plate then but hold it with fingers straight. Basically like a V on the end.

Ya using the bike would be better for you. Treadmills are for walking.
 
I missed training this morning due to an appointment at the hospital. I ate 8 Eggs in one day and had to have my stomach pumped before the cholesterol clogged up my heart

Well, not really, but I did have a hospital appointment. I'm going to try and squeeze everything I missed from today into the next couple of sessions
 
CCR i think u r doing 2 much mate during the week, why don't you try to do your week's workouts in 3 days? Give your body time to recover or else you will find out what overtraining is...Less is more my friend, less is more...:D

He is under good supervision and care through our respected Trainer, TM.

He has it under control.

And, doing just GREAT!


With the exception of his entire package of bacon for breakfast ;)

Over training is really under eating and under resting. Few people actually push to the intensity of over training.
 
A lot of people are actually overtraining and they don't know it. It happened to me until i got injured and had to rest for 4 weeks, which was the worst period for me. I just don't want the same thing to happen to CCR, that's all. But he's got people watching out 4 him which is always a good thing.
