Weight-Loss WL competition TEAM GOLD

Weight-Loss
Update. so far i lost 5 lbs for this competition, and earned (maximum-1) points for exercise. I wanna get full points today again since weigh in is tomorrow- make some good effort.

Hope you guys have a good day today diet/exercise -wise.

I have done over 6 miles of outdoor walking so far today (so more than an hour has been done for the challenge)...

Assuming salsa isnt cancelled because of snow I will do 2 hours of solid salsa dancing tonight too...

I spent a few hours this morning hiking through the woods and doing a little machete work. I should have done more with the machete and I wouldn't be so scratched up. I will definitely qualify as exercise, but I'll will hit the bike and/or weights tonight.

My weight rebounded to 340.4 which pisses me off. I think I'll only weigh on weigh-in days for the remainder of the contest as I shouldn't be frustrated when I'm doing everything right.

Don't be too irritated about your weight going up. We all hate the day to day fluctuations...

I havent been announcing my daily weighing in this thread because I know that mine goes up and down all the time. My Thursday weighing was higher than earlier in the week and I have been good all week.

For me - I prefer to weigh every day. If I hadnt weighed myself earlier in the week I would not have seen the better weight that I had the other day... I could think that I was further away from my goal than I am. If I have had a lower weighing and I have been good then it is not fat so must be down to water retention or toilet activity...

:hurray:HERE WE ARE GUYS!!!! The 1st mini challenge of the Competition!!!:hurray:

This week, I will award 2 points to everyone who drinks their 8 - 8oz glasses of water a day! I will not award 1 point for 4 glasses...only for the full 8 glasses!! So drink up!!

(btw...I'm going to chose one member a week to pick other challenges that way you all feel involved. I will award this honor to whoever loses the biggest % of weight at the end of the week....)

I will slay the water challenge! I'm already in that habit.

My mini challenge: Be 6 feet 3 inches tall each day for 1 million points a day. No points for being shorter and -100 points if you're taller Steve.

That's about 2 liters - correct?

Well done everyone. :hurray:

I have weighed in.

I came very close to getting some weight loss points - they will come next week... My weight loss calculates as 0.96% which is just under the 1%.

As a PCOS lady I am actually pretty pleased with the weight loss... If it were not for the accuracies of a challenge I would consider it as pretty much the 1% that is a reasonable target.

A question about the water...

As far as the challenge is concerned - does this need to be tap water?
Does bottled sparkling water count?
Does bottled water with a hint of flavour count?

Keep up the good work! End of the day individual week %'s mean nothing overall, it's the end result which counts :) And as you said don't think anyone can really argue that's 1% lol, so bang on target!

Steve

Great work everybody!

My stats:

337.4 -7.6lbs, -2.2%, -11.8 pounds from my December starting weight. 24points for team GOLD! I'm only going to weigh on Fridays and my workouts will be lower intensity on Thursdays as that made for a huge drop from yesterday's scale.

Well done Justina and Quercus. You got some brilliant points there and had excellent weight loss.

Thanks Omega - you did really well too! & Anna (weighed in yesterday - compared to my time zone)

Look forward to seeing everyone's results!
