Weight-Loss Valentines Challenge?

Weight-Loss
Starting weight= 241
Goal weight= 230 (by valentine's day)

Week 1: January 4rd - 141
Week 2: January 12th - 135 (-6lbs)
Week 3: January 19th - 131 (-4lbs)
Week 4: January 26th -
Week 5: Feb 1st st -
Week 6: February 8th -
Week 7: February 14th -

are you in the 200s or 100s?

Just curious ..because on your start weight and goal weight it is in the 200s, but in your update weights for each weeks it in the 100s, just curoius.. just confused lol

So I am upset, I went back up to 283.6; however, I figure I am doing the weigh in six days, just sped walk like I was on the run, or chasing someone, to the point didnt notice anything or anyone around, except figuring out how to get around traffic and peeps in my way and getting over snow, ect. I got all wet, my pants, the sweat on my body, but it was so worth it. I think I can get back down to 281.2, if I just keep doing that. I want to increase more time on my brisk walking by next week. And keep increasing until its an hour ..and than move up more. I may start aerobics too. I dont know. Thinking about it, but with the klonopin withdrawals comes hurt muscles and flu like symptoms.. etc... but I am proud of myself .. I actually came back with less of a stamach ache and muscles that were in pain. I try to stand up straight, but stretch my legs and feet far apart and just go go go! so I did burn some calories today, which I am proud of, because normally I wouldnt have gone out, it was slightly cold out .. ok not slightly ..it was cold and crisp ..but I actually enjoy the walk, because I know what the outcome will be ... weighing less and a healthier and thinner me!

You might have reached a plateau, but dont get discouraged. Ive heard a plateau means that your body is using stored fat, and the fat you are currently taking in. So kudos to you! I am kind of at a plateau. I cant seem to break down past 280 and go into the 270s .. lol my goals ... it will happen eventually

200s lol i edited them - i dont know why i had the 100s down i must have had kg in mind lol:)
 
If it's still ok to join, then me too!

Starting weight= 213.2 lbs
Goal weight= 200 lbs

Week 1: January 1st - 213.2 lbs
Week 2: January 8th - 206.8 lbs - yeah! Take that TOM bloating. Still sticking to the food and sort of to the exercise.
Week 3: January 15th - 202.6 lbs - still going in the right direction, thank God.
Week 4: January 22nd -201 - Lost a bit less this week BUT adjusted my food up from 1200 to 1400 and only managed to get out jogging half of what I normally do. Still lost weight. Am startin HIIT tomorrow so hopefully will lose a bit more next week. Still - when I pass 200, I will readjust my goals.
Week 5: January 29th -
Week 6: February 5th -
Week 7: February 12th -

End weight: ______
% Lost: ______ ((Total Pounds Lost / Start weight) x 100 = Answer.)

Am still really happy. This is the most pain free weight loss I've ever had. No misery or denial. Can feel my body getting used to the exercises and am adjusting my food up to give me leeway in the future but will start at a gym soon and everything is going great. I know I should feel bad but a loss is a loss and I can feel different. I feel less hot/sweaty when I have to run for things, I can run faster, I am losing inches on my body (7.5 overall by the 15th) and I feel great!
 
How do you all think about another challenge, set off the week after we weigh in on Valentines day ...

like "The March to March!"
like it will be the rest of February and through out March, so another month a a half thing and this time I know how to set it up ...so .. thanks again

or "Spring for April!"
What would be the rest of February, March, and to the end of April... than we could see about a summer from May to August Challenge?

What about it? Which one do you prefer and would you be willing to do it... maybe .. I dont know ... I would like to have a challenge right after, because I dont want to slip up, because I wont have a challenge after Valentines Day ...so thats make me wait until the March weigh ins ... but I think Have a challenge right after Valentines and continuing in some fashion would be a good way to keep us motivated and on our way...

Well I did my forty minute speed walk and I walk like I am being chased or chasing something. I go a little overboard and by the last ten minutes I was like ..ugh "pain" I was kind of hunched over, because it hurt so much. I really worked my upper and lower body, because I was swinging my arms back, really hard, so the back muscles running up my upper body were being worked ..the pain, but I did it!

and I am feeling so good ...
this is only my third day of getting out there and I am up to forty minutes. Tomorrow I hope to do thirty to forty minutes. Its going to be cold, but I will be happy, wearing a scarf tomorrow and a hat .. will be going walking later in the day to the commons to meat my man there .. its something I want to do and walking down there alone will be a big deal .. because I never go by myself, too scared, call it social anxiety and I always try to look for escape routes when I cant deal with being in public ..its bad, but I was on all main sts. I am trying to conquer my fear of being in public, so far so good ...

and Thanks WorthIt... it is so worth it... I didnt really want to go out today, but I pushed and I feel good, it also helps with my anxiety withdrawals ..so thats good ...

I'd definately be up for another one when this is finished :) though like WilTX said, something about the same length, to keep motivated...

April 4th is Easter Day, obviously it's a Sunday, and it's 7 weeks to the day from Valentines Day. So that is a definate possibility for the next target. :)

Two days left until weigh-in... make them count ladies and gents! :D x
 
When I started my weight loss goal, this was a huge factor for me! I decided that I wanted to weigh 170 lbs by Valentines day, and I was 210 lbs. I now weigh 166 lbs. I started 09/27/09 and have a long way to go, but looks like all of you are doing great! Good job! I am glad I found this post because I love setting goals and really working hard to make sure I at least meet them. I would be up another challange! yaay!

That would be good in ... a way ..well we could name is
"Spring for April!"

and it would be seven weeks...
I just want to keep going with the challenges, because I hate getting stuck with not challenge after VDAY .. you know .. I sometimes slip up afterward, with not holding myself accountable and the challenges seem to keep me motivated and charged and have a group ... to do it with is nice ..we work together, give each other support .. I like it that way!

So just ... say something .. tell me what you think everyone ... and we still have awhile before it is set in stone ... but ... maybe ... April fourth, end of April? Decide .. I think everyone should be heard... :bigear:

Well Tutti~Frutti said that April fourth brings us to another seven week challenge.

I probably would call it "Spring for April" Because spring pretty much starts in April... and well I want to think of having a "Spring" in my step... :hurray:

I'm doing well food wise but exercise is pretty pitiful. Let's hope for a loss on Tuesday my weigh in day!!

I'm very very constipated even tho I'm eating loads of veg drinking a lot of water. It's very sore!!

I can totally relate as everyone can, its because you are cutting down on calories, by eating less, your body cannot .. well u know as much, your body needs to get used to you eating less. I know, it sucks big time! Im finally getting used to eating less. But I have been eating too less, so I am increasing my caloric intake. but thats why. Try some laxatives if you must until your body gets used to it, but the best thing to do... is drink TONS of water ... that should do the trick ... maybe take in more fiber is even better

I suggest
Kellogs K-Protien cereal. I eat one cup in the morning with a bit of one percent milk... but thats the best I can suggest. Take more fiber in and drink lots of water, and if it gets serious ..take laxatives...
because when I was anorexic, it happened to me.... and I went a week or so with out ... u know ... I ended up in the hospital and they knew what was up... but they helped me with laxatives and they told me a very REAL story... they told me if I was not able to go, than my bowl was going to explode ..sorry everyone, but let this be a warning ...

You can die, if you dont go by a certain amount of time. If your whole abdoemn hurts it means your in the danger zone .. this means use laxative, drink tons of water, eat a little protein, bran cereal with loads of fiber...
