Typhon & TonyM: No Rules!

So I got to the studio and had about 35 minutes before a lady was coming to teach a class. Good session, heres how it went down

Zercher sb squat 3x30s
ss
Jump Rope 4x30s

Clean and Press Sandbag (SB) 3x30s
ss
Curls 3x10 reps
ss
Jumping Burpees 3x30s

Sandbag sitting twists (You know that thing people do with the med ball and their feet elevated) 2x30s

SB Deadlift 3x30s (I think I pulled about 30 reps per set)
ss
Jump Rope 3x30s

SB Curl 1x10 reps
ss
SB SA Row 1x30s

That was it. I really love these timed sets. Anyone who has the opportunity should give it a try. Its a nice change up from going for 10 or 8 or whatever. Next session I think I will take some more photos.

I also need to edit my video from my first session so everyone can see.

The bad news is I haven’t set a challenge for Tony yet but the good news is I bought an outdoor stool from Ikea (looks like a bucket to me) so I can do box squats now. I’ve also been trying some new stuff to research movements I want to add to my challenge.

I need some smaller bags to empty the sand into though, the bags I have must be at least 30kg, probably heavier, so things like the windmills were really tough and the reps have to be kept low. I didn’t manage to pick up any scales over the weekend either so I’m not sure on the weight of anything

Anyway, here are the pictures of my ‘High Windmill into Box Squat’

Lift above head

Lower other arm leaving bag above head

Move down into squat

Then back up again

I need to do more squatting, my legs are looking too skinny

i havent worked out since my sunday session. however it is because ive been waking up early to get in some time on my fitness business. tomorrow i plan on going for another bike ride.

last week we rode and as soon as we were done and i was driving home, my rear tire deflated lol. so i picked up a new tube, a water bottle, and some foot lock ins today. Now its ready to go for tomorrow. we should (at least me) do better then 7 miles this time.

That pipe is honestly wider than my entire garden; do you think a keg half filled with water would have a similar effect?

But as I told you via email, I have my sights set on moving to a bigger house now so I can have a proper gym in a garden garage, the slosh pipe will be there for sure

Half fill it with beer and you have your post workout shake.

I dropped a 30kg DB on the bridge of my foot in thegym last week. I thought I'd got away with it but I still have pain when moving it and I've lost a little ROM when turning it. Could that just be bruising?

Yeah it did, the second it hit my foot I thought '****, that's a broken bone or two, I won't be able to squat for a while' but the pain eased pretty quickly and it didn't even swell up so I figured no major damage was done. But it's been about a week now and it still hurts to turn my foot outwards

Edit: Or down and inward, that hurts too

No not really. I asked the guys at ross about making a 6ft instead of the 9ft. They said it will be "ok" but nothing in comparison to the longer size. A keg is way too short, because you want the water to be as far away from yoru body as possible.

Well if you have two backpacks, then you can combine some carries with lifts.

Hold them overhead, walk a distance, then do some push presses. End in the rack position and walk a distance, then do some front squats. Then farmer walk them a distance, then do some high pulls or cleans or rows.

Another type of carry is the cross carry. One overhead and one in the farmer position.

Rich where you at?

I still havent been working out because I am doing stuff on my business. However tomorrow morning I will be able to hit the workout and do my stuff.

I am thinking of creating a product specifically for busy dads. Why should moms get all the good stuff? (joke) I am going to get a survey up on my site that will ask specific questions about what dads would like to see in the product.

Then when it is done, I will need people to test it out. So if any of you are thinking you may need help, then this could be your chance.
