Yeah, there is a team below us. But we I re-read the original thread. Each week, you get from 8 to 1 pts depending on the rating of your time for the week. And the team with the least amount of points gets eliminated, and I think that we keep our pts from the previous week. We were third in 8 team last week. So I guess we would stay even if we would be last....

Anyway, that's what I figured out from the rules.

In either case, we're not last for this week.

We gonna rock this week!! :)

Thanks! I just hope that I'm gonna be able to do some harder cardio this week, because I'm already fed up with walking!! I prefer running!
 
Dumb question...

I just want to make sure I am doing this like everyone else...

I record my Friday weight, but I stop counting exercise minutes on Thursday. In other words today's exercise (Friday) will count towards Week 3's total (see my chart above)...

Is that right? Is that what you guys are doing? Or should today's exercise have counted for this week?

No, that's a good question.
The exercise you did today counts for Week 3 but the weight you had this morning counts for Week 2!

Some people weigh in on thursday, so I guess it's up to you!
 
Unlike my previous challenges, points will not be carried over to the next week. All teams will start at 0 pts at the beginning of each week.

Ok, well that answers my question (so did you, Amber and Jerome! :) ), and it also tells us that each new week starts over with 0 points. So even though we were 3rd place Week 1, we still started Week 2 with 0 points.

My next question:

If a member gains weight, does that take away from the loss, or do they just not earn the points?

For example:

Member A: -2 pounds
Member B: -2 pounds
Member C: +1 pound

Total loss is:

2+2= 4 Pounds

or

2+2-1= 3 Pounds

?

I know...

So many questions! :ack2:
 
I think if one member of the team gains, that is deducted from the loss of the other members. I could be wrong, but I believe so.

And, you are right, points do not carry over week to week. We get a fresh start each week.
 
Any weight gained is subtracted from weight lost, so it would go like this:
A--2lbs lost
B--2lbs lost
C--1lb gained
= 3lbs lost for the team

So now I have a dillemma due to someone gaining 3.5lbs this week, and another person from a different team not updating. :ack2:

The official rankings are out. We finished in third place!! Getting all our exercise gives us another 5 pts, which is hard to get from weightloss...

So, if you think you won't be able to do your 6h17 min, mention it early :)

Week 3 Exercise

Friday: 1 hour on the elliptical, 30 minute walk with James, 40 minutes C25K. Total: 2 hours, 10 minutes / 130 minutes
Saturday: 20 minute walk/jog with James. Total: 20 minutes
Sunday: 30 minute walk/jog with James. Total: 30 minutes
Monday: 30 minute walk/jog with James, 1 hour on the elliptical Total: 1 hour, 30 minutes / 90 minutes
Tuesday: 30 minute walk with James, 1 hour on the elliptical. Total: 1 hour, 30 minutes / 90 minutes
Wednesday: 30 minute walk with James, 40 minutes C25K. Total: 1 hour, 10 minutes / 70 minutes
Thursday: 30 minute walk with James, 40 minutes Biggest Loser DVD. Total: 1 hour, 10 minutes / 70 minutes

Don't worry, I will get all my exercise and then some extra!

I can't promise any huge weight loss, because all of my exercise will probably only help counteract TOM and Spring Break splurging! But I promise I am eating well and trying hard! Don't worry - no McDonald's Shamrock Shakes for me! :D

Actually missy, I DID resist them! I don't know how, but I did.

I went home and told James about them, and it turns out he knew all about Shamrock Shakes! I guess I was the only one that didn't know! :blush5:

I am already at 360 minutes of exercise for the week, so I only need 17 more minutes to reach my 1/3! I will be doing even more than that, so let me know if you need some extra minutes! I will probably end up with at least 500 minutes for the week! :D

Excellent work!! I might be 30 to 60 min short this week.
An extra hour from you would be appreciated.

I'll probably lose 1 to 2 pounds this week and I've got salmon in my fridge.
I'm gonna eat it tonight :)

I don't forsee any weight loss from me this week. I am awaiting TOM and undoing Spring Break damage. Hopefully the exercise will at least keep me at maintenance! :)
