Need Advice! Photos Attached. Before and After 1 year... not much change... :(

Well its been a year now that Ive started my journey... I was pretty occupied with school... senior year getting my B.S. undergraduate, that I just didnt have the time to work out. Now that I have an entire year to just full out go at it I need advice to getting where I want. I want to lose fat and just look "toned". My workouts usually consist of M-W-F touching chest, arms, back, tris, and shoulders. Cardio on T and TH. Not really concerned about legs and all that, mostly upper body. I'd like to get started on the mid section... just dont know what type of excercises to do. So here are the pics of before and after... not much change... but I am most diffently lifting a lot more and I dont feel that I look different at all. I need some extreme workouts that I can follow so I can be a different person in 2-3 months. I know I can do it... now with school out of the way I feel I can really transform myself. Opinions? How much weight do you think I should lose to reach my goal? I've been lifting naturally... no protein or anything. I eat plenty of protein throughout the day. Im just a firm believer of doing "old school" with no pills. However seeing these pill poppers Im kinda interested in joining the crowd... sigh Im confused. I need some guidance!

Thanks again guys for all your encouragement!

Any words of encouragement? ...?!?

You do look like you have less fat however....

You need to do the following -

Read read read! Your obviously an educated person that can learn so the best thing you can do is pick up some books and read be dubious of some of the information you read on the net as sometimes its pretty bad.

Plan out a diet - Your diet needs to be clean and it needs to have the right foods in it. There is heaps of information on the nutrition stickies etc.

Go on a full body program or a upper lower / push pull split. Your muscles need stimulus to grow and you wont get enough with a split like your doing.

Stick at it, take pictures every two months along with measurements etc.

Nothing is impossibe. Franco was a champion boxer when he was young and very skinny, Arnie himself was skinny and a european curling champion. I know these guys used drugs but hey they worked hard.

For you the thing is consistancy, that will be the key. Go hard and reach your goals man theres nothing to stop you.

If you need to talk workouts then Im happy to help out just send me a pm, Chillen is probably one of the guys to help out with nutrition and hes always keen to help out.

Good luck.

You also might want to try smiling....lol. Sorry, sometimes I get lapses in my maturity level. It just sneaks up on me :11doh:

Not really concerned about legs and all that, mostly upper body.

You'll get the best upper body gains by hitting your lower body hard, as I've just said to another guy, you should be aiming to place you body under the stress of a heavy load to trigger a hormonal response and as your legs and back have the big guns you'll get the best hormone response from lower body movements like squats and deads.

BRAVO..........I see you peaking here......how is it going, man?

If you have problems post them

If you need help, specify it!

ROCK ON!

Best wishes to you my friend,

Chillen

I have been working out with a younger co-worker, he's only 19. And I have told him the same thing, if you want to make big gains fast, go hit the squat rack. He thinks I'm nuts and keeps benching!

Def hit the squats and deads.
