Weight-Loss July 10 pound Challenge!!!

okay I am going to cheat today.. slightly... I had a great weekend just passed, great from a partying point of view :) I was up by 8lbs on Sunday night so I am pretty sure I was just stuffed and bloated etc.

Anyway.. I have been good so far this week so I am going to wait until I finish my workout tonight and see what my final weight for today is. I would even be happy if it were equal to last week. I am still committed to meeting the 10lb challenge before the end of July so dont count me out yet :) I just took a little break at the weekend!

I'm on vacation and eating out a lot. Luckily, I'm able to find calorie info online and keep track of what I'm eating.
I am LOVING this challenge!

WOW! I am surprised. After my weekend of fun my hard work this week has paid off! I really expected to be up this week so I am delighted.

I plan on putting the effort in big time for the rest of this challenge and wont be having any further weekend joy

Hello everyone I just want to say that being able to read all of your post has helped keep me on plan, So to that I say thank you. Because of this I decided to come here with my problem and to see what advice you all had to offer. On May 27th 2010 I woke up and said I think I need to lose weight. I went into the bathroom got on the scale and was shocked when it showed I weighed 260.8 LBS. Now 7 weeks 1 day later I have lost 31.4 LBS bringing me down to 229.4 LBS. My issue is that I have not started exercising and can't seem to even get the motivation to start. I've bought a few workout tapes and even own a thread mill. I just can't bring myself to start. I haven't exercised once since i've started this journey, sad I know. So when you first started what was the things that got you going? :willy_nilly:

It may sound cliche, but exercise makes you feel great afterwards. It is that feeling you get after a good workout that i crave. ALso, i find exercising helps me sleep better (and sleeping enough is a problem for me). In addition, if you exercise you get to eat a bit more during the day (always a plus!) since you are burning calories in your exercise.

Honestly, start slow. You've already shed 31+lbs so you are definitely on the right path. Start of walking 30mins a day, then after that becomes easy do 1 hour...you will see that you only get stronger by the day.
Start playing those tapes that you bought, again start off slow only do how much your body can handle...again you will see how stronger you get.
For me personally I can't lose lbs without exercising, eating right and exercising go hand in hand....When I work out it definitely makes me feel better, specially in the morning-it's the worst but once you get the energy to do it you will love yourself for it big time.

Like Jillian Michaels says "If you want to lose weight, shut up and exercise"
 
Tomorrow is another weigh in day already! can you guys believe how quickly july has flown by? just like that, only a week and 2 days left for this challenge... crunch time! gonna be a good week for me. Up until this morning, I was afraid I was going to be off my goal for the week. Then all of a sudden, whoosh! I like whooshes :) Might even end up below my goal for the week. Can't wait for tomorrow to post my official results. Anyone else as excited as I am?
 
I cant say I am that excited Mar ... mainly because my weight loss has stalled. I certainly feel like its continuing... clothes seem to be even more loose on me than they were but the scale says otherwise... hmmm... Maybe Ill get a woosh between now and tomorrow :)
 
I know! i can't believe how fast the month is flying by!! Unfortunatly, the 1st have was a real downer for me as far as my weight goes...but I've really started picking it up and maybe I'll end up getting a few lbs off after all??

:rofl: This cracked me up! I love whooshes too, and I had one this morning as well. Must me something about Wednesdays. Hope I don't whoosh back up tomorrow!

Well I am a mile off the July challenge target but still losing so I am happy overall as my goal of getting below 200 is just a little over 1lb away :)

My weight was dropping so quickly before now but has ground right down to a snails pace, I am going to do something to kick it back in to gear for next week... dunno what yet though.
