Weight-Loss Holiday (Christmas) Challenge Chat Thread

Weight-Loss
I pee - walk 6 miles - and pee again before I weigh in.:)

I do recognise that this is over the top behaviour though!!!

LOL... :biggrinjester:

All of my diary readers know I like ta poop and then weigh!

LOL!! I do the same. :smilielol5:

Well, I had a good first week...6.5 lb weight loss. I'm excited! Hopefully, I can keep on track.

I was a little worried this morning for weigh in because dinner last night was a 7oz fillet mignon with broiled mushrooms, tossed salad with oil & vinegar and 4 vodkas & cranberry juice. It was 2-4-1 happy hour. :cheers2:

I guess being vigilant all week with regard to my food intake, calorie counting and exercise was enough to counteract my Friday night splurge.

Everyone who has updated their stats looks like they've had a good week. Good job, everyone!

On weigh in day, I always try to exercise first(if possible) before I step on the scale.

Week one down, and got all my bonus's in- WOO HOO
Looking forward to week 2, but know it will be more challenging-
it's been hard for me to get in all my calories this past week with
RL issues keeping my distracted.

Good Luck all!

Hmm...I find it interesting that some of you exercise before weighing in. I've heard that you tend to weigh more after exercising, so I always weigh in before I work out. I shall have to experiment with this. :biggrinjester:

I try to poop before weighing in as well, but that doesn't happen often.

I do my morning exercise before I weigh, but it's only about 15 minutes. I personally don't notice any difference between weighing before exercise or without exercise - at least not enough that it isn't overshadowed by water fluctuation. Because I weigh naked if possible, I try to weigh right before I step in the shower, and a shower before exercise is pretty pointless. ;)

Down 2 pounds this week. weighed in yesterday before I left for friends bday party( after which i'm sure i would have weighed considerably more)
will reweigh for interests sake when i get home later today.

Bikinibound,

Since this is my very first challenge, I didn't understand it correctly. I did keep track of my workout time and wrote that in on my post, but I didn't come back and see the challenge thread. So, I didn't keep track of any calories at all. I didn't know there would be challenges---I only looked at the one thread.
Is is possible to do the Christmas challenge without the bonuses? I am not in this area of the forum often, so I'm afraid I'll miss again.

Anne

Hi Anne..

You may want ta do it on yer own then and check in this thread to chat about how yer doin'/gain support.

Teams will be picked after 3 weeks of bein' on our own and the the goal for each team member is to try their best to gain as many pts in ea. area as possible.

:)

Yeah, maybe I should just do it on my own and just watch this challenge. When I know I'm able to complete one, I will try the next one.

Ok, thanks. :)

Anne

It's completely up to you. I'm sure there are going to be plenty of people who don't get all of their points--there already are. So if you really want to do it, then please do. You can definitely make up for last week. Just check back here on Thursdays to find out the bonus for next week. And try to log your pts on Fri or Sat (along with your weekly weigh in). If this will be hard for you to do, then you might want to reconsider doing the challenge. :)

HI Everyone!! Great job so far on the Challenge!! It's funny what people post about weigh in day, I love it!! I don't have any routine I follow, Usually I do happen to pee first thing in the morning, then of course before I slip into the shower I jump on the scale, that's about it for me.

I'm so boring right?? LOL LOL LOL Well, I'm off to the gym, I hope you all had a great day today!!

If you haven't logged your pts yet, they won't be posted until next week. Also, if you didn't log your week 1 weigh in, I didn't count any of your other pts. Weekly weigh-ins must be logged in order to have your other points count.

GOOD LUCK THIS WEEK!!

Gr...I was down on Saturday for weigh in, at least. But I was up 4 POUNDS on Sunday! And only 2.5 of that was off today. So my official weigh in at the dietician was higher. I am ticked.

Bah stupid internet at home isn't working. Posted it today though.

Only 2.2 pounds to go before I have lost 50lbs since July 1st. It's nice to see the payoff for all the hard work.

I started the "Body-for-Life" diet this monday, so far it seems ok, by Myoplex nutrition bars and shakes are *&#^ing terrible tasting.

lol, have a good one guys and gals and keep up the good work.

I have to admit that the weekend away from the PC at the parents didn't go as great as I wanted. I ended up not tracking what I ate after all. Best laid hopes...blah blah. Oh well. All I can do is start again & hope to get the bonus points for next week!

& the eating wasn't so bad. I just gained a .8 lb, which could be anything from water to TOM. Just didn't actually track the calories.

Hope everyone else is having a great week & getting those bonus points!

I just checked out my calorie intake for the day and I've got over 1100 cals to jam in for the rest of the day. I have to plan my meals out better. Anyone else have this issue?

I have a hard time planning anything, expecially food. I estimate my food options for the day, and track as I go along. At the begining it was tougher, always seeming to run out of calories, and feeling denied food by the end of the day. But as time has gone on, I have adjusted my eating habits and tend to eat the same things anyway. Keep at it and you will find a routine that works for ya!
