I just checked out my calorie intake for the day and I've got over 1100 cals to jam in for the rest of the day.

I try to save calories for the end of the day, because I'm an evening snacker, but usually don't get hungry in the morning. (And also because I often have no clue what lunch and dinner will bring me, so am reluctant to eat too much of my allottment early on.) So I'm often in your situation (although generally with more like 700 calories immediately before dinner).

And then there are days like today, when lunch included restaurant-prepared shrimp bisque. Caloric content unknown; FitDay guesses 188 calories, but based on how I feel, I think the AllRecipes 480-calorie version is closer. Which makes lunch nearly 700 calories for a tiny bowl of soup, a tiny piece of bruschetta, and a green salad with no dressing. :p

So ready for this week to be over. Been 0.5-1.0 pounds up all week long. Had work-related meals out all week, so my macronutrient ratios have been all skewed (or I've found myself trying to come up with a dinner that had 60g protein, no fat, and 20g carbs, which is doable but not fun). Been averaging 30g of fiber + 64oz of water a day + some exercise every day, and still nothing's moving (sorry, TMI). Grumpy and tired, too. And I can't even blame it on hormones - that's week after next.

We're making a turkey for lunch tomorrow at work. Mmm, turkey. I shall drown my sorrows in fresh-roasted turkey breast, a baked sweet potato, and some homemade cranberry sauce. :)

(LOL at FitDay - there's an entry for "Turkey, fryer-roasters, breast, meat only, cooked, roasted" and the serving size is "from 1-pound ready-to-cook turkey." I plan to have more like a 10-pound turkey cooking, myself.)

I have to apologize in advance to my future team-mates.. I really fell off the wagon this past week, collecting no points at all.
I have been sick and fell into a self-pity at the same time... So I over-ate on most of the days and did not exercise for a full week.
I am just getting back to routine as of yesterday but my exercise minutes will not be enough to make 180 min, and my food calories were either too high or too low for the bonus... Oh, and I will have a gain this week as well...:(
All and all I did absolutely horrible... but I will not drop out of the challenge...Just pick up from here and move on.
Hope everybody is having a great day and wish you all "losing vibes" for tomorrow's weigh in.

Don't worry about it--just do what you said, pick up and move on. Glad you're staying in the challenge! :) Hope you're feeling better.

I had a pretty bad week too! I didn't even visit the site much. My bad week was due to stress not sickness. But it still resulted in self-pity and avoidance of weight loss and exercise! Ugh! We'll improve! We just have to keep in mind how we feel now and how much better we feel when we meet all our goals and challenges for the week! Good luck this coming week!

I've noticed that some of you appear to have not even attempted some of the bonuses. One of the reasons we are in this challenge to do things that we should do, but might not otherwise do. I know several of you have completed your bonuses even though it required doing something you don't normally do, and see no need to do, but did it for the points. I really hand it to those people. Remember, this is a contest and you will have teammates who will be counting on you to get the most pts possible. Granted life happens, people have bad days, weeks, etc. But to not even TRY at all to get your bonus pts isn't fair to your teammates. Please keep that in mind, because even though we are still at the individual stage of the challenge, your pts will be transferred over to your team at the end of it.

Week 3 is the last week of the individual phase. At the end of this week I'll be drawing teams for the rest of the challenge. In order to be placed on a team you must have updated ALL 3 weeks. Please have your week 3 stats logged no later than Sunday night on Nov 25th. If you are unable to do this, please send me a PM and we can work something out. But if you don't have all three weeks updated and fail to send me a PM, you will NOT be placed on a team. I will announce teams on Monday, Nov. 26th.

I'm just in a plain ole rut... I was doin' so well and did great over the holiday..My probs are w/OCD and our weather change..

I have not walked in 4-ever and my OCD is gettin' the best of me bc of slacking off w/exercise bc of bein' so busy and bc of the past few days draggin' out C-Mas stuff and tryin' to decorate and get all that stuff up/finished. I'm NOT eating which throws my metab off and makes me gain/stall. I didn't even eat today until almost 5PM! :rolleyes:

I was up 0.7...{went from 173.5 to 174.2 lbs. *Today's weigh in*}

I am making new threads for each team. Please copy and paste your stats over into your new team thread. From now on, that is the one you'll update.

There is one team that has 7 people instead of 6. This is how I'll figure their pts so as not to give them an advantage--I'll add up their pts, then divide it by 7. Then I'll multiply that number by 6 and that will be there total pts. If we start losing people, I may do that for all teams to keep things fair.

All right--the challenge is ON!
