From alpha testing to the QUERCUS 200

Thanks LaMa!

I popped back up this morning, but Friday was salty Thai food and my back was bothering me after the day in teh woods. I did an easy run last night (18 min) and a more intense one for longer today (41 minutes). My back is still bothering me, but less during and after the run so I think I am okay.

I'm hoping I'll be back down tomorrow. I'm still doing the right things so it will happen eventually.

I really hope the back hold out. It sucks to feel physically limited from the things you want to do or were able to do before.

The good thing is: if you build up the load slowly your back can get strong and reliable again. There are very few back problems that leave you with a permanently "weak" back. Multiple compression fractures will do it, stenosis might and then there are things like osseous tuberculosis and certain polio patterns, among rarer things, but most things can be got rid of entirely in pretty much the same way obesity can: change the old lifestyle and stick with the new.

Thanks Cory! It feels better today by quite a bit.

Thanks LaMa! I will definitely get past it. It's going to bother me some times, but hopefully that happens less often with more work to do it.

I worked outside and moved stuff around including a stack of firewood. I made myself go slow and move a piece at a time. My back is tired, but taxing it modestly for a long duration helped loosen it up before my run.

Day 33 of the runstreak and the end of week one of 180 minute minimum running. I ran 216 minutes and 9 seconds this week. I weighed in this morning at 274 again. That is back down to Friday's weight which lets me focus on my goal of 270 again.

Thanks Cory! The 180 is the minimum and it will be hard to hit on a heavy field work week. My hope is to keep the numbers similar and increase my mileage. That leaves me more time for yoga, stretching, strength training too.

Thanks Hana! Thanks Cory!

272 this morning. I ran too much last night and I'm super tired this morning. I ran 48 minutes. Not fast, but it was still too much. I didn't make the best food choices last night so I'm happy the weight went down. It's a freebie and I have to do better to keep losing. Two pounds to 270.

2 lb is 2 lb even if you didn't make the best food choices, you have been super consistent with the running

If you set your mind to it Q that 2lb will be gone in a few days. Hope your back doesn't suffer. 48 mins running? Wowsers!

Thanks Tru! Less running, but less food today.
Thanks LaMa! My back was a little cranky already and it didn't seem to make a difference.
Thanks Cate! I hope you're right.
It's like they always say Cory, A freebie close to the heart is better than a bag of chips close to your face.

Just a slow mile tonight as I was still beat, but I ate well and I'm going to bed earlyish.

Thanks LaMa!

Yep LJ, right up there with Honk if your horn works!

So I hopped back up to 274 this morning which is dumb.

I ran 40 minutes tonight followed by 30 minutes of yoga.

Too bad about the freebie. :p
