From alpha testing to the QUERCUS 200

Day 11 and I'm still batting 1,000. I got into a pair of pants this morning that I couldn't button last Sunday and a pair that was too tight to wear is now good. I hope that in another week I will be back into a lot of my clothes, but I've never paid enough attention to know how the plateau for weight loss works in three dimensions.

Shopping in your own closet is awesome. Well done Q!

I am pleased to have clothes again LaMa. I think I'll shed the biggest pair of jeans in a week or two.

Good weekend, lots of work around the house done. Today is day 13 of the runstreak and still no missteps on the diet front. I had seconds of dinner last night , but I'd worked pretty hard all day and had a light lunch.

It's great that you are back on track Q! Having seconds of dinner after a hard day's work sounds sensible to me. Much better than snacking on things later!

I ended up snacking and having some chips last week. I worked outside three days straight and that really pushed my appetite. I wish I would have made it through February, but I'm trying to be good and sensible with my choices and continue to minimize processed foods in my diet. I suppose I should hit the scales again. Maybe I'll wait until Saturday.

I'm still not doing great food wise, but I'm getting a huge amount of exercise. Things are hectic at work and will be for some time, but it's all doing stuff I enjoy and should earn me a nice bonus and raise if I can juggle it all.

Hey Q, I'm glad to see you're back. Last time I was able to log in was around the time you had decided to take a break. I'll probably get around to reading your more recent posts eventually, but I just wanted to pop in real quick and ask how your back has been.

Hey Cory, I'm glad you're back! I'll save you some time. Packed on weight and lost my streak with back pain. Got an injection and restarted a runstreak the 1st of February. I'm still struggling with food, but I'm down from my recent heaviest enough to have pants to wear.

Yay for awesome jobs! Hope you´re juggling melons and not running chainsaws.

Thanks LaMa, mostly projects and agencies.

Thanks Cory! The material from the ruptured disc had been reabsorbed allowing the bulging disc above it to press on a nerve bundle.

I had a lot of soreness and some back pain after cutting down 8 small trees and some brush on Sunday. I need to focus on gradually strengthening my posterior chain so I can do these kinds of things without hurting. I paced myself and used a handsaw rather than an axe or chainsaw for felling the trees, but I used axe and machete to limb the tree's and clear brush.

I kept the runstreak going and it felt much better yesterday. I ran 3.22 miles last night and that worked out most of the soreness. I think pushing myself running will help me make better food choices. Mostly because it reduces my stress.

I still have not gotten back on the scale. I need to, but I don't want to. Not knowing doesn't change what I weigh. I'll try to remember in the morning.

Are you doing yoga still? I found one on Amazon Prime that is having surprisingly quick improvements with minimal "pain" during the actual workout.

No LJ, I haven't done much outside of outdoor stuff at work and home plus the running. I need to do some soon. I didn't think about prime having yoga stuff. I'll probably start with Yoga with Adrienne as I like it and know what to expect.

Don't get down about the scale Q. It's say what it says and then all you can do is move forward and react accordingly to that information. Knowing you, you'll bounce back and handle it just fine.

Hey Cory! Yoga with Adrienne is on YouTube so I did know about that as a source. Thanks for the advice and encouragement. I'm in a more optimistic place mentally and I'm sure that's about the increase in running. That's going to help me cope.

Thank you LaMa! I just have to go slow, but first I have to start.

277 this morning. I want to focus on small goals. I have been eating too much salt. My first goal is 275. That might happen tomorrow or the next day if I avoid the junk salty crap I've been eating. I'll pick another small goal and actions to achieve it.

Today is day 30 of the runstreak. I've decided to focus on time this month with 180 minute minimum each week. This way I can adjust intensity as needed while maintaining an increased minimum effort.

I think the 180 minutes per week is a great way to approach it. It's a good goal to set, but also flexible for days where you're maybe tired or don't have as much time.

Thanks Cory! I was just over 100 minutes a week for a while. I needed to take my time to adjust to running every day and a month was a good buffer. I'll be above 180 this week.

274 this morning so my first goal took 1 day. That's what I needed was a tiny achievable goal. I'll make 270 the current goal. It will happen in a week or less if I stay away from salt and overeating. Especially with the increased running.

I'm at 130 minutes 40 seconds with 4 days run. I'll be over 200 this week.

Well done Q! You´re definitely back on track, very glad to see it.
