Floater's diary

I only spent 20 minutes at the gym yesterday, but I got a good workout in, and of course the 3km walk in both directions adds to the total duration of the workout. I'm also feeling fresh and alert today, not sore or depleted at all.
Sounds like a win to me :) I prefer doing a bit often as well, if only because I thrive on on schedules and predictability. Sadly work doesn't allow more early morning workouts and I don't like how busy the gym gets later in the day.
Great news about the pools, too! Sounds like you're properly on track.

I went to return my broken charger to the supermarket, bought a new USB-C cable with the refund, voted (there was a voting booth next to the supermarket), bought myself a beer as a treat, drank it on my way back (took the long route of course) and am now back home. I think I'll have a chorizo and potato omelette and a tomato for dinner. :)

Sounds like a productive day!

Today has been great despite me sleeping in. I think I probably needed the sleep after the workout?

Tomorrow is benefits day! I'll pay my bills and rent, my grocery delivery will get here after noon, and I'll hit the gym in the evening. I'll also try to book an appointment about that mole situation again, just in case.

I felt too lazy to make an omelette (it takes a degree of focus to get it fluffy and tasty) so I decided to make a frittata instead. This is the first time I've ever made a frittata in this oven, I have no idea about what the perfect temperature etc might be, but I'm so hungry at this point that even if it turns out a bit funny I'm sure to gobble it up. :D I'm also using a steel saucepan for baking it because I'm out of baking sheets and my cast iron pan has a wooden handle; it's detachable, but that requires tools, so let's just hope it turns out OK.

The frittata turned out just a teeny tiny little bit overcooked; but next time I'll know the perfect temp. And it's not bad this way either. I added green peppers for extra veg and I'm pretty sure I hit my veg quota today as well :)

Yay for food experiments turning out well! Detachable things that need tools to detach generally aren't made to be detached and reassembled often so you were probably wise to go tge saucepan route.

This is amazing. My chest has gotten smaller, and so has my waist. In two weeks of planned eating, regular-ish meal times and smaller portions, the difference is probably not noticeable to outsiders, but it's one of those things you can feel on your own body. People with breasts will know that they vary in density/"fullness" depending on hormones, water weight, et cetera; mine feel much lighter and emptier than two weeks ago, and my usual summer underboob rashes are gone because the tissue doesn't weigh down on my ribs. Makes me dream of the day when I can hang around shirtless... (I feel like such a child for having such high hopes and detailed plans about which kind of incisions I would prefer despite not knowing if that's something I can actually ask for? But I guess that when it comes to surgery, the patient's wishes are taken into account if they are reasonable, right?)

I managed to wake up in time and got an appointment about that worrysome mole on 22.6., yay. Grocery delivery gets here in 3,5 hours, so I'll have the rest of my soy mince sauce and pasta for breakfast after I've taken the dog for her morning walk.

Awesome, congratulations! Also: if dreaming is childish I'm never growing up :p

I took a nap (and skipped breakfast), grocery delivery came just now and I'm so happy about my stacked cupboards and freezer! I'm having a cashew-cranberry roll with ham and cheese for lunch, I think I'll have a mozzarella ball with tomato for extra protein as well, and have a bowl of fresh strawberries for dessert. Sadly the store was out of Turkish yogurt, so I'll have to get that later. I'll try to get in the habit of adding calcium rich plant-based and dairy products into my diet, that micro is going to be in high demand once I get on T and my bones will start to get denser.

The tomato and mozzarella salad was perfect; I sprinkled some smoked salt and sesame oil on it. Olive oil would have been more authentic of course, but sesame oil gave it a nice twist. The strawberries were a bit sour, which is a shame, but I'm sure that after my workout later tonight they'll taste just fine to me lol

Snack: oatmeal with soy protein, margarine and smoked salt; frozen peas; a protein drink.

Trying to pass the time until 5 PM when the UV levels drop and I can walk safely to the gym (I do have sunscreen, but especially with my mole situation, I'd rather err on the side of caution). It's hot outside and I feel lazy, but I know that if I don't go to the gym I'll end up getting anxious. I'll have to do laundry once I get back. Paid all my bills today.... Tomorrow I'll have to get my dog's meds from the pharmacy.

Short, but sweet gym session completed. I'm now at Taco Bell getting a Spicy Chicken Griller for a post workout meal, I'll eat it in the park and enjoy the evening sun!

I just got home and took a shower. I impulse bought a chicken leg which is now in the fridge (it's good when it's hot or cold, but not at room temp, yuck) and a box of cherries - summer's first cherries! I think I'll need to sit down for a while before I'll walk the dog and have proper dinner. My feet are finally starting to "molt" after using the Korean exfoliating socks a couple days prior - it's both disgusting and delightful when the hardened skin starts to slouch off :D But it feels so nice once the peeling is all done!

Don´t your feet hurt if you walk a longer distance without the calluses?
