Floater's diary

Apartment has been vacuumed and the floors washed, Heikki´s cage deep cleaned, sheets changed, dishes done, the laundry machine is running. I feel happy and accomplished. Having that mango I was supposed to have earlier

Bedtime snack: a bowl of cauliflower soup, cold chicken. Might need more carbs but we´ll see

EDIT: had a few almonds as well.

Looks like it's going to be a sleepless night but hey - 4 months without alcohol! I just hope I'll surpass my current weight plateau soon.

For some reason, probably exhaustion, I also feel terrified and overwhelmed by the trans process and doubting myself. Which is weird because dysphoria was really bad yesterday, especially at the swimming pool. You'd think super bad dysphoria days would make me more excited about transitioning but it's often the other way round. My head goes "what if this is just body dysmorphia and I'll still look disgusting to myself?" and I start to second guess myself.

Writing that down helped. I just need rest

Woohoo I´m over the plateau! And took a progress pic and my abs are starting to come in!

Breakfast: a banana, a bowl of cauliflower soup. I´ll brush my teeth after having a cup of coffee and then hit the gym :)

Actually - feeling a bit wobbly so I´ll have another banana and four Brazil nuts before hitting the gym.

This was one of the gym sessions I wished would never end. No muscle cramps thank god, despite the Ventoline. I went pretty hard so in addition to my usual protein shake I also got an M-150 energy drink and a ham+cheese sandwich at the church cafe.

Dinner: last bowl of cauliflower soup.

Doing food prep:

- cabbage casserole with green chili, garlic, ginger, bulgur, chickpeas, feta cheese, chopped almonds, chopped snack lemons, maple syrup, soy sauce, and ras el hanout.

- wiener and soy chunk soup, this time with chopped celery, edamame, tomatoes, green chili, garlic & nooch + spices.

I need carbs so I'll have a banana and rye bread with brie. And five almonds

EDIT also 200g of cottage cheese because now hungry for protein

EDIT2 still hungry after an hour of eating so going to have a portion of cabbage casserole as well

PS oh god the casserole was absolutely divine, packed with flavor from the snack lemons, tons of fiber but also a nice amount of protein and fat, very satisfying!

That casserole sounds amazing.
I HIGHLY recommend it, it's one of the best dishes I've ever come up with ✨

Breakfast: wiener and soy chunk soup. I had to remove Heikki's hammock from his cage because he had started to gnaw on it, which could lead to intestinal blockage and death.

My lab results showed a slightly elevated thrombocyte count, but I'm not too worried. I work out A LOT and intense exercise brings the count up.

As today was rest day, but I wanted some movement and needed to wash my hair, I went to the swimming pool and swam for 15 minutes at a leisurely pace. I think I'll start to do this regularly on rest days - I found it very relaxing. I didn't have time to sit in the sauna because my old classmate is coming over soon.

Lunch: post workout protein shake with fresh ginger (supposed to prevent migraines, can't hurt), two small bananas that were on their last legs, and a handful of red licorice.

My friend came over, we finished the bag of red licorice and had tea and chatted. It was nice. We went for a walk and had dinner at the gas station burger joint. I had a chipotle burger, mozzarella sticks, French fries and a fizzy water. The fries tasted better than the mozzarella sticks or the burger... But we had fun and that´s what matters! I walked her to the train station and then had a leisurely 1-hour walk before getting home. Doing laundry now because I got some chipotle mayo on my hoodie. Hopefully the spin cycle won´t keep any neighbors awake...!

I´m going to take pineapple out to thaw and have a portion of the amazing cabbage casserole at some point before going to sleep.

Cabbage casserole, rye bread with brie, a bowl of pineapple. So tired!
