Floater's diary

I´m in a really, really good place today. I´ve been wearing the platform boots inside, they just make me feel so RIGHT. And I can stand in front of a mirror and see past what it shows into what I can look like. I love that. Somehow medically transitioning feels completely doable and achievable today and it makes me very happy.

Lunch: mango and minced meat + potato casserole.

Snack: a bowl of lentil stew with arugula and blue cheese

& this makes me happy too :) Hold onto this feeling. Write it down & put it somewhere handy.

Dinner: green lentil curry with pollock, rye bread sandwich with hummus. My friend came over and we had tea & chocolate. Bedtime snack is a small box of raisins and two rye bread sandwiches. With what toppings though? I could try canned mackerel? It's the end of the month so I try to go through my freezer & pantry...

EDIT: I had the bread with blue cheese, and a can of sardines in oil, and three Brazil nuts. I need to buy more sardines, they were delicious. I'm still hungry so I'll also have 200g of cottage cheese.

I'm so glad you have a regular appetite these days: I could never sleep with my stomach so full though!

It wasn't criticism: it just boggled my mind.
I didn´t take it as criticism! There were 64g of sardines in the 95g can once the oil was poured out, one slice of the specific brand of rye bread I used is 46 kcal times four is 184 kcal, topped with two tablespoons worth of blue cheese crumb, and 170kcal in the 200g package of cottage cheese. Raisin box was 42g and three Brazil nuts fit on my palm. By my standards this was far from a volume meal.

Breakfast: potato and minced meat casserole.

Aqua jogged for 90 mins. Had my locker room porridge, and bought a banana and a stick of red licorice on my way home because I was feeling dizzy from the lack of energy/carbs. Now at home having green lentil stew with pollock. My stomach is super upset, I´m in diarrhea city. I´m also really cranky for no clear reason. Probably just need food & rest.

After eating the lentil stew, I prepped two portions of rice for later, did laundry and washed the dishes. I was still feeling exhausted and cranky and cold, so I used up the leftovers of a bag of spaghetti - too little for a proper meal but just perfect as a snack with hummus, nutritional yeast, a splash of oil, scallions and fresh red chili. That did the trick: I feel happy, satiated and content again lol.

I plan to do a big food prep tomorrow, and tomorrow is also gym day as I moved yesterday´s aqua jogging to today.

I let Heikki out for a run and vacuumed. Feeling cranky and vaguely depressed again, and my head hurts, so I think I´ll have tuna and cold rice and go to sleep. Next week is all planned in advance.

EDIT eugh the tuna was in water, which I hate, but still opening the can made my mouth water. So I was hungry indeed. I mixed in some sprouts, truffle-infused olive oil and furikake and the end result is pretty tasty, so all is well that ends well :D

EDIT2: I had a small chunk of blue cheese left and as I was still a little bit hungry, I´m having that for dessert. Then it´s brushing the chompers and going to sleep.

Nana nap :D

Good news: my biological clock seems to be content with a sleep cycle where I fall asleep around 1AM and wake up at 10AM. I slept peacefully and didn´t need to snooze, and this seems to be the case anytime I set the alarm at 10 AM. It seems that your boi is starting to officially translate the SMART Handbook into Finnish. I´ve been in contact with the people who coordinate that stuff.

Breakfast: a small bowl of mango and green lentil stew with pollock.

EDIT: I ordered myself a silly little treat/mascot, a two-headed dragon plushie from Killstar :D https://eu.killstar.com/products/hydra-ice-plush-toy?variant=42074631372965 They are so pretty and cool and I got a -20% discount and I want to bring them to therapy, and use them as my translation buddy :3

My workout was SUPERB. Had my locker room porridge, and bought a banana and a protein drink on my way home. Tested Mugler´s Alien Goddess without any expectations and tbh was initially almost grossed out by the sunscreen coconut vanilla explosion, but within minutes it settled into a gorgeous, light, powdery scent on my skin. I also tested Mugler´s Angel and oh lord never again. The patchouli smells like manure on my skin. (Good on the tester strip but horrid on my skin.) But I´ll definitely order Alien Goddess for a Valentine´s present to myself. I bought Alien when Nera passed away and it´s my homage scent to her. Alien Goddess is similar, but lighter, more comforting, and hopeful. Still a homage to her but moving on with her memory by my side.

Now at home, having the last portion of green lentil & pollock stew. Once I´m finished I´ll start prepping my next batch of stew, this time with lamb sausage, soy mince, red lentils, carrots, sweet red bell pepper, and spices.
