Floater's diary

Phew! It went super well actually. I am shaking a little as an autonomous nervous system response, but that´s understandable, as I had to cover a lot of traumatic stuff.

Making dinner!

Dinner: stew with red lentils, white beans, bulgur and veggies (onion, garlic, celery, cherry tomatoes, carrot, red bell pepper, fresh chili pepper, mushrooms), tons of spices and lemon juice, tahini, nduja, and olives. Four portions are cooling on the countertop for later. I´ll have a bowl of pineapple & cherries for dessert.

Feeling super tired. Vacuumed & cleaned Heikki´s cage and sewed a hole in my sweatpants. Still need to cook the rice I put to soak last night. I think tonight is sauna night. I need & deserve some relaxation.

Rice is prepped & in the fridge. Having a snack: baguette with arugula and Schwarzwald ham. I will need to eat something more substantial before bed.

EDIT: also yesterday´s marinated tofu (heavenly, must make again!!) and a small bowl of ice cream.
EDIT2: make that two small bowls of ice cream :D

OK was still a bit hungry and going over my foods for today, decided I was probably short on protein.

Final meal of the day: 200g of cottage cheese, a handful of crackers, a red apple sliced, hummus, and a piece of blue cheese.

I'm so glad it all went well. You certainly did deserve a good rest & some relaxation after all that.

GUYYYYYSSSSS I WAS APPROVED FOR 40X 90 MINUTES OF PSYCHOTHERAPY FREE OF ANY COST TO ME!!!!!

Breakfast: lentil stew and rye bread with hummus & rucola. Now off to the pool to aqua jog!

That's amazing! Here's hoping they do a great job.
It´s with my current therapist, I´ve been with him since 05/2020 and he´s great, I could only afford going once a month paying out of pocket, so I expect good things. The last time I was in therapy weekly, I managed to do my Bachelor´s and Master´s theses, graduate form my minor (Asian Studies) and jump through the loops of ADHD and autism assessments, so I think there´s going to be serious progress.

Aqua jogged 90 mins. Porridge, red licorice and a can of Dr Pepper on my way home. At home two-egg Tamagoyaki, a small bowl of mango, lentil stew. Now group!

Oh man, that's awesome!
It is. The therapist I did my first 3-year state supported therapy with (2016-2019) is a pensioner now so I was one of her last patients, but I know my current one well enough that we can jump right into the deep end and I´m mega motivated.

Having marinated tofu + avocado + scallions +rice, and 200g of cottage cheese.

You deserve it.

Good for you :grouphug:

Hit the gym after breakfast, did nothing too crazy, upper body/arms day. After gym bought a Spicy Chicken Griller from Taco Bell, as well as a banana and a protein drink, had them before therapy.

Therapy was great. Therapist keeps encouraging me to explore my values and talents and life trajectories outside the "norm", which makes me way less anxious and depressed about not being able to manage a typical job and career and such. He was also very positive about me attending SMART, and we both noted that the principles of it are well in line with solution-oriented psychotherapy. (I also mentioned I had watched Frozen 2 over the holidays, and he instantly picked up how I relate to/find meaning in the themes of forging a life path outside the norm, with both challenges and talents that are outside the norm as well. I think it´s very affirming when my therapist can understand why I find something "childish" important to me.)

I went grocery shopping after therapy - veggies, tofu, panko, pralines. Lunch was the last portion of lentil stew, and after that I had a meeting with the autism assistance´s boss where we finished my service/support plan for the year. It went well. Now I´ll get busy food prepping, at 8PM I´ll go for a walk with my ex, and at 9PM I have a SMART meeting.

I like your therapist. How wonderful!
Oh, he´s great. :grouphug:

Did a big food prep: veggie soup with chick peas, corn, and bulgur, marinated tofu & button mushrooms, and panko breaded meatballs with ginger, garlic, soy sauce, hot sauce, grated zucchini and grated carrot.

Snacking on the leftovers of tofu and soup, as well as a small bowl of mango & cherries. I wonder if I should also roast the beets I bought? The oven is heated anyway... But this was a pretty big food prep already, and I used to oven to both desiccate the tofu & mushrooms so they´ll sponge in the marinade better AND to bake the meatballs so I think that´s sensible use of electricity, right?

I´ll have some meatballs on rice from two days ago (instantly cooled and kept in the fridge since), because I a) want to taste test the meatballs and b) could probably use a more substantial meal after doing a shit-ton of stuff with pretty light meals today. Oh man I´m happy with my accomplishments for today. :hurray:

& so you should be :) What a positive, productive day. I love hearing you sound so happy :grouphug:
Thank you forum mom 💐

Bedtime snack: two rye bread sandwiches with marg, hummus, and arugula. Four chocolate pralines and a small piece of blue cheese.

I will definitely start keeping hummus around as a staple. Home-made would be cheaper, but store-bought is very convenient. I have stopped buying cheaper "bread topping" cheeses and only use marg, hummus, veggies etc on bread, so I can buy slightly more expensive but also much tastier cheese like parmesan and blue cheese which I then have as treats/dessert in small quantities after meals. All in all I get less saturated fats in my diet this way and what I get, comes in a thoroughly enjoyable form 😆
