& so you shouldI feel genuine joy about the effort I put into my health.
Not bad, does that include the weight of the bar?I upped my bench press weights to 27,5kg during my last set and it felt far from overwhelming, so it looks like I'll be hitting 30kg way sooner than Christmas
Your food sounds good, do you have a daily calorie goal or something like one?Meal #2 was locker room porridge. Meal #3 is a banana and red lentil stew with heavy cream, parsley and pollock. Once I've eaten I'll prep my next batch of lentil soup, this time with sauteed carrots and sauerkraut, and pack tomorrow's bento breakfast. I bought carrots, oats, peanut butter and cherry tomatoes on my way back from the gym.
Yes.does that include the weight of the bar?
Yeah, I always err on the side of caution when lifting because joint injuries don't necessarily ever heal well. Bench press is also, for whatever reason, the most difficult excercise for me when it comes to gaining strength or muscle mass. 3x10 in the leg press with the maximum weights is a cake walk for me, so that's why I'm extremely miffed that I'm such a Mickey Mouse when it comes to bench press.I do bench presses but have to be careful, many years ago at the age of about 15 I got into some weight lifting with friends. Nothing organized or scientific about it, just tried to see who could lift the most. I tried way too much weight on the bench press and injured my shoulder, it still hurts sometimes.
Thanks, and no. My goal is to eat 5-6 nutritionally balanced meals a day, and that's it.Your food sounds good, do you have a daily calorie goal or something like one?
I go to the gym three times per week and go aqua jogging three times a week (it doubles as cardio and resistance training, and my weekly minimum is 6 weeks of aqua jogging). I have one rest day per week. How often do you get to the gym?
Upper body strength is, on average, a big gender divide issue and another thing hormonal transitioning would probably help with. I could imagine it being more of an annoyance because of that.3x10 in the leg press with the maximum weights is a cake walk for me, so that's why I'm extremely miffed that I'm such a Mickey Mouse when i
As someone who holes up in their apartment way too much and has trouble allowing even nice and welcome visitors in... I don't blame you.I think I'll take a walk and decompress a bit. I know I sound like a doofus but I, like many autistics, tend to feel very particular about my environment and am sensitive to any changes in it, so it's going to take a while for me to get accustomed to this change in my "den".
You intuited correctly. I know I'm being irrational because I'm visibly muscular and already strong for someone AFAB, not an athlete of course but I've been hitting the gym hard for a while and it shows. And then I look at cis guys going at it next to me and my heart drops to my knees lol. There's a silver lining though: many trans guys say that they seem to get leg gains easier than cis guys even after transitioning, I don't know if it has any physiological basis or if it's because some cis guys seem to prioritize upper body workouts and neglect leg days.Upper body strength is, on average, a big gender divide issue and another thing hormonal transitioning would probably help with. That's lovely. Pics please!I decided to move Nera's empty tray and her bowls from their old place to the living area and place plants in the cups. Now it's a beautiful memento of her, and I don't need to worry about spilling water on the floor when I tend to my plant babies.
Remind me tomorrow! It's getting too dark and my phone cam is a potatoThat's lovely. Pics please!
The answer is always PLANTS for me Just a sec, let me get on my PC so I can upload the picsI'm looking forward to seeing a few pics of your newly rearranged room. I'm glad you got that table. Would a couple of placemats make it look more aesthetically pleasing?
