Deadlift Chart

i maxed on sumo deadlift at 405 today at 149 lbs.

I believe one should have photo proof prior to being ranked. Im reading far to many post that simply break(or come incredibly close) national dead lift records (for weight class).

yea, I'm strong lol

EDIT: Now that I think of it, the kid I powerlift with is stronger than Mreik :O He max deadlifted 505 lbs. as a Junior weighing 181 lbs. last year. I think he is trying for 565 as a 181 Senior this year.

I move for a need of picture proof before being ranked, Or at least have two ranking systems. One for people who have pics and those who do not.

If privacy is a concern then they can simply open pain shop and erase the face. however they would need some sort of written sign in the pic like "dead lift record" just to make sure they do not steal some pic from a magazine.

I don't think we absolutely need to keep people legit. If people want to lie, they are going to find some way to do it. I just think it'd be more believeable if anyone pulling +2.6xBW if they provided some sort of proof. Again, though...if they want to lie, I say, go ahead and lie. In the end, the only fool is yourself.

Well said my friend, however, I do not care to post my Dead lift when i know someone els will come along and lie about what they lift. Frankly i could lie and say i dead lift 600pounds and while im not worried about someone els dead lifting more then i. i just do not like the idea of someone looser who has not put in the work i have to make a good dead lift lieing and basically trashing the hard work i am putting in to my REAL dead lift.

This isn't about comparing deadlifts though, it's never been to see if my deadlift is better than yours...(I'm not saying that you're saying that). If someone wants to be an idiot about it and lie to themself, then I say let them, they aren't helping themself in any way - at all.

Nobody is trashing your deadlift like it's a comparison by simply typing an arbitrary number (if they, whoever they is, are in fact lying about their 1 RM/PR).

Individuals can keep their own list as well, see how they improve, and plug in their own stats to get a coefficient of their own without posting it up here if they don't feel comfortable doing it.

I don't think that we need proof...cause what are you going to do? have them take pics b4, during, and after lift? lol

I agree though, I deadlifted 205...that's as much as/less than some females...idc though =] I think sometimes you know who is lying and who isn't.

a person giving a realistic number does not need a pic but for people who claim they weigh (hypothetically speaking) 150 pounds dead lifting 500+ pounds. Proof would really be nice here.

This thread and the resulting discussion make me chuckle. No wonder women think we're neanderthals. :D
