Cate's Diary

Hi, Em & M :)
The second cabin is about to arrive. I think they’ll be good to have here for him & it will give him something to organise to get them set up. I want them painted green to blend in.
I had better go have a look see now. That husband of mine set “ a few fires” today which have burned a fair swag of our bush. I’m getting him a firefighters back pack for Christmas. It would have been very handy today!

Oh dear! That's not good!

Glad the cabins seem to be getting sorted out...

It wasn’t good, Liza but it gave him a fright which isn’t a bad thing.
The cabins are out in the cabin about 4-5 metres apart. They’re in really good nick. R will create an outdoor living space between the two, which will be private.

Thanks, LaMa & Petal. We'll see how it pans out. I can't see him wanting to be here all of the time, but it's nice for now.

We're heading south this morning & staying at K9's for the next 2 nights. I may not get much of a chance to actually post, but will probably have a quick look around. We will have a packed car with dogs & bedding & some firewood & are also bringing back more of R's stuff from his house. I think he's staying down there for a few days so there will be one less dog & one less human on the way back. I feel busy, busy but not stressed. He has been offered a job near here already from friends who didn't even know what his plans were at all or that he was going to be spending more time up here. He will find out this week if the buyer of his house has the finance & then he can make proper plans.

Enjoy your trip and fingers crossed the buyer gets things sorted :) That'd be great if he had a job waiting for him as well!

Thanks, LaMa, Petal, Em, Liza & Marsia. :grouphug:
Petal he’s a cook/chef, & a great barman. They can be high pressure jobs though, so he’ll just take a month to think about it probably.

Hospitality is full-on. He will sort himself out, Petal.
We had such a lovely weekend. It was really chilled & absolutely enjoyable. K9's place is in such a beautiful spot & she is surrounded by nature, with such beautiful birds.
R will find out tomorrow if finance is approved for the buyer of his house. Fingers crossed again :)

Good morning (it's 9.15 am here) to my WLF friends :grouphug:
I really must stop faffing around & actually do something about losing weight. I had a photo taken of me on Saturday & it's a wake-up call. Time to knuckle down.
I'll aim for <1400 cals a day.

Hi Cate, did it go well for R with the house buyer? Hope so! I know what you mean about a wake up call. I am really sad about gaining all this weight back and am determined to work my way back slowly but surely. :grouphug: So glad you enjoyed your trip so much!!
