Maybe it´s as well you had a rest day if your leg was so swollen. Lying down/elevating it for half an hour after walking might help?

Snow and safety are pretty good reasons to stay in the house. Things should get better soon, then you can get out.

not much going on here
did a walk yesterday
none today
we plan to tomorrow

food--
pepperettes
shredded cheese
todays food--
3 boiled eggs
fried ground beef ( found some on sale)

well not so good news
again
but im trying to get it worked out
i somehow got screwed out of the 3rd box
of insulin i need this month
i dont even want to get into the details
i dont understand
just that they are being told to limit the medications
they dispense

so anyway
its left me with trying to find a new script
despite my efforts to get the meds be4 it ran out( the date said apr 19 the refills expire)
so
has anyone used the call in dr services?
how does it work?
what should i expect?
what info do i need for them?
in ontario canada

I´m sorry I can´t help you with the call-in service; I´ve never needed it (plus of course I´m in a differenct country). I don´t know what to say, really, so I´ll just send you a hug should you need one :grouphug:

todays food--
yep ground beef again
with a liptons tomato vegetable dry soup mix added
for flavor
a blackberry wine can (well not the can lol)
todays exercise--
walk around the block( it takes 30 minutes)

Blue, just ring the doctor & they will soon tell you what you need. It would be different everywhere. I rang my local medical centre & gave my name. A doctor rang me back at a specified time & I told him what scripts I needed. He had all my info in front of him already. He then asked if I wanted the scripts sent to our local chemist, which I did. I don't think you actually need a script for insulin in Canada, do you? I googled how to order scripts online in Canada & there was a lot of info there.

totally want something positive to say here
i so badly do

but
not to be so yet anyway

woke up today with balloon
sized legs and 4 ankles
and 4 knees
maybe a little exxagerated but not by much

i was so hopeful about the walks
so hopeful
but in my experience of the last 20 plus years
it doesnt get better til winter again

I'm so sorry to hear that! I don't remember if you have elasticated stockings for this time of year? I hate them in warm weather but they're so helpful for warm days when I'm on my feet a lot.

Sorry to hear that, blue. Are you elevating your feet & legs whenever you can? Having someone put some bricks under the feet end of your bed might help as well. The aim is to elevate your feet above your heart. When you're sitting place a stool in front of you with a pillow on it. Have you seen a doctor recently?

so disappointing
i feel as though ive let the other person down
not being able to walk with her

now the pain has set in
so im taking pain pills and cant remember
when its time to take them again

this swelling is why i had put so much hope
into my bike
its a non weight bearing exercise
but it wasnt to be either

and i dont have the so called normal furniture
idk what i have to put my legs up
everytime i move and set up an apt
i basically just get a mattress and a living
room type chair
and sometimes a table and chair
it took a long time to get the right things to set up
to be able to watch and see the happy walk videos
it wasnt just a simple matter of turning it on and doing it
i needed to find a place to put it up where i could see it etc.
and every move puts me having less and less
this time i dont even have a calling phone
before this move here i cried to see all my furniture
on the street corner because i couldnt bring it with me
and it was just a table and 2 chairs and 2 soft chairs
anyway enough of the depressing things
i will keep trying to come up with a way
to put my feet up
see if it helps
i could maybe put them on the kitchen hard chair while
i sit on the soft chair
they wont be high up tho
idk
i hope my next post can be happier
keep safe everyone

no i dont have any
a few years ago i did see a dr who was going to order
me some at his clinic but i have not been able to get
my socks on for a long time
and dont even wear them on the coldest days
so anyway when i told him i cant get socks on he never ordered them
