Sorry to hear that, blue. Are you elevating your feet & legs whenever you can? Having someone put some bricks under the feet end of your bed might help as well. The aim is to elevate your feet above your heart. When you're sitting place a stool in front of you with a pillow on it. Have you seen a doctor recently?

i dont have my own dr
ive been on a wait list for maybe 6 years now
so i only get to see the walkin drs
and they have lineups outside the door to see them
so they have no time to check my legs and such
and of course right now things are closed and they have the call in dr services
i have no idea how to see one at this time
 
Everything is so much harder now, but on a waitlist for 6 years to see a doctor? That is just awful!
I would still try to elevate your legs as often as you can. It's worth trying.
 
todays food--

stressed out totally
still having trouble getting meds
im getting my nice person to call tomorrow

but i continue to be bullied by 2 people
in my building
at first it was only the girl
now her male friend has joined in
and getting another person to say anything
will make it worse
but i dont know what to do or say to make it stop
i was bullied starting when i was 8 years old at school
and it got worse in senior public grades 7 and 8
and continued in different ways by different ppl
its stamped on my forehead Bully Me
 
Nobody deserves to be bullied. I am so sorry to hear about this. If at all possible try to smile at them & think kind thoughts. I know that sounds weird, but that's how I got over the fear I used to have towards someone who intimidated me so much he had me shaking whenever I saw him. It took a while to be able to do it, but by doing so he realised that I would not let him defeat me. Kill them with kindness.

Hey Blue, sorry about the bullies. I think Cate's advice is excellent, return the nasty behavior with kindness, it will likely confuse them. Bullies are not smart people.
 
Childhood bullies are bad enough, grown-ups really should know better. I was bullied as a teen and it took years to get over it. It must be so hard if you've been bullied on and off all your life. Cate's strategy is worth a try, although I'd be more inclined to think condescending thoughts of pity than truly kind thoughts ("so sad they have to pick on other people to feelbetter about themselves"). But then Cate IS nicer than me :)
 
i would really like to try to do a daily walk
so i decided to try to time the pain medication
so its maybe less painful to walk
we found a walk thru a park with benches
yesterday and i sat down twice
but it really interupts the whole speed
and flow of a walk
im hoping to try the same walk again
today
and i bought 4 bananas 4 apples 4 different coloured peppers
and 5 tomatoes on the vine
i cant normally get this food but it was on sale
i dont normally eat fruit but im hoping
it pushes away the craving for bad sweets
plus aiming for less salt
and less processed foods
i guess we see what happens
and i put my highest pillow at the end of my bed for my feet
idk if its helping yet but i did it

I'm enjoying mandarins (clementines) & Fuji apples at the moment. We are in Autumn here & I am starting to miss a lot of Summer fruit, but you should start seeing it soon :)

so whats your next season going to be?
ours will be summer
we just hit spring

we did a walk but a few things were different
so idk if taking the pain meds first helped or not
1 thing different was that we brought a really old
family member who needed to stop 3 times
to sit on benches
plus it was a different walking place
i can say that it hurt less
so i guess whether it was the meds
or the 3 times sitting doesnt matter
really
 
We are the opposite. Autumn, going into Winter.
I think having the rests sounds like a good idea. I stop often.
 
i guess i gave it my all
the bike the stepper and outdoor walks
swelling and pain went over the edge for my tolerance
they barely want to bend (my legs or toes)
(not just during exercise)
so it looks like my dream of 30 minutes a day is just gone poof
i didnt think it was too much to want
but it was i guess

I´m sorry to hear that, Blue. Maybe wait until the swelling goes down and try just 10 minutes. Many people overestimate how much they can do every day at first and it often causes pain. Start with 10 minutes, or even just 5 if that´s what you´re sure your body will be able to handle, and don´t up your exercise until it feels relatively easy. And only add 5 minutes at a time, always waiting a couple of days to see if your body tolerates the increased load well. Alternatively you can do a little longer but have a rest day every other day. I´m afraid we can´t force our bodies to be well.
