Today has started off really well. :) Got my 4.5mi run in and did weights. I then ate breakfast and will head up for a shower when I'm done here. Feeling really good about myself right now, despite last night's rather large hot fudge sundae. LOL I'm hoping the 4.5mi run took care of some of that. LOL Hey, a girl can hope, right??

B: Protein powder, 16oz milk, .5c scrambled eggs, 2 very sm pancakes, potatoes.

Even when you slip up on your diet you still feel good about yourself. That is great. Keep up the positive thinking and things will work out great for you

LMAO...thanks CCR. Yes, the running is going really well. I'm really pleased. Today will be a short run. And yeah, I usually take Fri and Sat off from training. :D
 
Been rather lax the last couple of days with the diet. Not too badly, but just being a little too...comfortable with things. Once the kids go back to school tomorrow, I will be able to get back on track. Gonna try to eat well the rest of the day. Just bc I'm ok with where my body is, doesn't mean I can eat like crap. That's not acceptable. Not sure what dinner will be, but it will include a green veggie and some sort of yummy meat.....

Will go for a short HIIT run tonight. Looking forward to that.
 
Well, so much for feeling good about myself. Since I've been a "bit lax" on the diet, I feel crappy about myself today. Fat, ugly...and just plain crappy. I had a great run tonight, though. It was the long 4.5 miler. I love that run. :D My knee started to give out before I was even a quarter way done, but it ended up fixing itself, so all is good.

I realize the only person I can blame for the way I feel is me. I know I haven't been eating well. Perhaps this shopping every other week is a bad idea. I have been eating whatever is in the house (which isn't much) just bc I get hungry. Today I had about 4 corn muffins (they were small, I will say), but it was bc I was hungry. I was stressed this morning over the boys getting on the bus, so the thought of fixing an egg wasn't at the top of the list. Not to mention hubby's minor temper tantrum/nervous breakdown over money issues really put me on edge. (When he gets that way it makes me nervous.)

So tomorrow, now that we have momentarily gotten the $ thing squared away, although in the long run it sucks, I will go shopping. I should get lots of fruits and veggies, but my prob is I love strawberries and blueberries and they aren't around as much anymore. I do like apples, but I can't seem to find Cortland - and those are about the only ones I eat. I love bananas, so I can get those. Hmm...you know, a breadstick and a salad sound really good..perhaps that is what I will have for lunch tomorrow....yum!

Anyway, after my run tonight, I had some protein powder and milk. Felt good about that. :D I hope tomorrow will be better....:rolleyes:

Have you ever thought of charting your mood against your food intake? Could it be that there's a food or ingredient that triggers depression with you?
 
LOL yeah, I was peeking. LOL I'm doing ok. Had a salad and breadstick for lunch. Now I'm hungry again. But I feel good about my lunch.

I think yesterday went well....except for the part about not working out. :rolleyes: 2nd time this week. :rolleyes: But thankfullly, it was on my short days, both times. I tend to make sure I get my long runs in so tonight will be no different.

Food yesterday, although I didn't plug it in, I think was good. Today, I am determined to "get it done". I'm gonna start off good and keep going. Eggs and pancakes with fruit this morning. Going out for a short walk later with a friend and we are going to end up at an Alpaca farm. :D

S: granola bar
L: salad with breadsticks
S: bologne, pudding
D: boneless skinless chicken, rice w/.5tbsp butter, peas, milk

Run was disappointing. I had low energy, my legs were tired, and I just felt sluggish. I hate that feeling!!! :mad: I even WALKED part of it!!! UGH!!! I've NEVER done that! :mad: I did finish by running, and I did walk this morning a little. But still....it's maddening! I am doing weights right after this post.

Eating pancakes with fruit and eggs right now. :) Today is rest day #1, but I may take my dtr out for a walk later. Have to go out and do errands at some point this morning....

Still feeling pretty crappy about the run last night, but there's not much I can do so I will try to move on.
 
Yup some days you can do anything and others it's a struggle to do something. Yesterday was the latter for you - look at it this way, be thankful you're able to walk at all, rather than running for x amount of time or miles. Considering even that could be taken away from you at any given moment through no fault of your own, having an off training day hopefully loses its sting somewhat. Good on ya though for pushing through and getting it done.
 
Thanks, Tom! Or should I say, Dr Tom. LOL You are absolutely right! I am thankful that I can walk and do all that I can do. :) Thanks for the better perspective! :)

Sometimes Feelings can be akin to a debt Ceiling and send one Reeling, but Beth's heart and determination is faith Healing and self Appealing, and will send Beth to great personal Revealing and remove and tear apart this bad feeling! :)
