All aboard the Fat Loss train!! Choo Choo!!!!

Tonight I am going to a benefit cruise/dance. I am really excited!! All talk of horses will be fun - not to mention a cruise! LOL THey will have yummy food -some of it healthy some of it not...AND THAT'S OK!!!! I can't go overboard, and will do my best to stay on the healthy side, but you know if I have a cookie or brownie, I'm not gonna sweat it!

THAT DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T WANT IT BAD ENOUGH, EITHER!!!

Vent/Observation:

I just want to say that I have made some HUGE progressive steps this summer. I have really come into my own and have worked really hard. I know I'm not going to be 115 pounds and a stick, but THAT'S OK!!!! I can run for 2 hrs everyday if I want to and if it makes me feel good, THAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING!!
I am so sick of these self-righteous people who think it's their way or the highway. It's complete and utter BS!!!! There is more than one way to skin a cat, as the saying goes. What works for one person isn't necessarily going to work for another.

Having said all that, THANK YOU especially to Stingo, Chillen and CCR for their unwavering support of my goals and where I am. I can't even fully express my gratitude to you. I am not afraid of hard work and sacrifice, but when I fall short of my goal you never condemn and that means the world. :hug2:

And I can totally understand your rant. Stay strong with your own principles.

Had a great RUN today. It MADE ME FEEL STRONG and HEALTHY! 4.5 miles and I increased speed at the end. I then did weights and feel good about that, although I REALLY have to work on tempo. Too often I do weights when I'm in a hurry or what not and don't really take the time to do my body good.

Food today has been.....ok:

L (post runand weights): 2 grilled cheese sand., milk
S: protein bar, cheese crackers

I got up rather late this morning, so by the time I got back from my run it was just about lunch time, so I just skipped breakfast. Oh wait!! I had a slice of 100% whole wheat bread before I left the house. Not sure how many cals taht is or how many I have left. I'm sure the protein needs to get bumped, so I will make dinner with lots of protein, if I can.

The cruise was....ok. I only knew 2 people there, aside from hubby. He drank, we ate, listened to a really bad band (who hubby and I made fun of all night) and I won a quilt and pillow (horsey, of course) in a raffle. :) I also talked with one person who I might ride for. SHe was looking for riders for her open house, and to ride her for sale horses. I'm going over there to ride for her Tuesday and hopefully I'll be what she needs. **fingers crossed**

Well, crap. :mad: I went over in cals by 110 and my fat% was higher than protein. :mad: I will try harder tomorrow. On a positive note, I avoided cookies and candy today. **pats self on back**

Rode this morning. It was ok. It's rainy and depressing out. I lost my grandfather last night, so I suppose the weather is fitting. He was such a sweet man. I hadn't seen him in a few years, but I have fond memories and that's what counts. Funeral will probably be Thursday. I'm concerned about my grandmother, though, as they were deeply in love and married for probably 65+ years. Love like that doesn't come around often much anymore.

Food wise, been ok:

B: 2 eggs
S: animal crackers, protein bar
L: salad, 2 rolls, ice cream

Had a great workout on the elliptical tonight. Time really flew and my poor knees thanked me. LOL Perhaps I will do that rather than my short runs this week. I have two days to decide...of course, if it's still raining rather hard tomorrow evening, or if hubby goes hunting, I may end up on it tomorrow night, too. Either that or the treadmill....

Feeling very positive about my macros and food intake for the day. I really should have soup more often...fewer cals and really fills me up!!! :)

Getting ready to go down in the basement for my time on the elliptical. The boys have their Open House at school tonight.

How the elliptical go for you? I am glad you felt good about the macros! The soup may be the key you need for yourself..........ROCK ON!
