LOL

I made an observation earlier today. I did NROL Break-In program A today and realized how GREAT I felt doing weights again. It's amazing what a week or more off weights will do to your psyche!!I feel stronger, if a bit shaky, since I worked out and man!!! WOW!!!

Food is still spot on. Feeling pretty good! I noticed I could see my abs a little better this afternoon, so that made me happy, too. And I also saw on FitTV today that there was an hour of strength training. It looked like somehing I could do, too, so I may try that, although I will be with NROL for a while.

This is why rest weeks are built into the workout routines. By the time you get done with a program you're more than ready for a rest. I'd be interested in seeing your numbers.

Incidentally, when the book says supersets with full rest, it means you rest after each exercise. That is, your workout should've gone like this: Rest = 60 seconds

1 Set of Squats, Rest
1 Set of Squats, Rest
1 Set of Static Lunges, Rest
1 Set of Two-point Dumbbell Row with Elbow Out, Rest
1 Set of Static Lunges, Rest
1 Set of Two-point Dumbbell Row with Elbow Out, Rest
1 Set of Pushups, Rest
1 Set of Swiss-Ball Crunches, Rest
1 Set of Pushups, Rest
1 Set of Swiss-Ball Crunches, Rest

Any thoughts on it so far? I know it's only one workout but am always interested in how people react to the program.

Well, I did it basically like that, only I did both sets of lunges and rows back to back (i.e. set lunge, rest, set lunge, rest, set row, rest, set row....etc....)

It was good, but I wish I had done the adductor/abductors....I may do them later. I just love those excercises. :D

Rocken it!

The decision I made yesterday (even though I have to somehow come up with $75), the show this Sunday, my eating better, weights....it just all feels good and right. :)

The idea behind the supersets is to give your muscles adequate rest time so you can do more work when you get to the second (and subsequent) sets. It's not as important now since you're doing two sets, but when you hit three and four and five sets you'll be glad for them.

No doubt! I have to say I did NROL first and then cardio....I couldn't last a half an hour!!!! It was PATHETIC!!!! I did 20 mins and even a half hour after I was done with cardio, I could STILL feel it in my legs!!! UGH!!!

Good on ya for doing cardio - if you're interested in doing the book's version of cardio, check out p. 87, metabolic overdrive.

And be sure to keep a watch on your calories - you may have to increase them to keep up with the heavier workouts. Good job.

Yup. I'm in pain today. But in a good way. :) My thighs and my arse are sore. But I love it! Feeling strong today.

Not much planned for today. Kinda dreary out so I may just relax and read and watch tv. Good day for it.

Some minor pain is GOOD!.......Beth's body will adapt and overcome......because she has da-skills........
