Ummmm. Since the teams are possibly being rearranged anyway, would it be at all possible for me to join? This is exactly what I need (I have been gone for a while, not doing everything that I should and I am ready to start at it again. If you look at my diary, in the beginning, it was updated at least once a day so it'll be something that I'll definitely participate in.) If not, that's cool as I totally missed the cut off date.

I beleive we have one member on our team that never checked in - I woudl have no issues with you joining our thread:) Im sure my team mates wouldn't either.
 
Radiantpebble - that would be up to everyone on the Thread.

Given the circumstance of the one person we had not checking in, it may work.

You wouldn't be able to start until Saturday to keep it fair.

If everyone on this thread could post your thoughts on this, I'd appreciate it. I will check back tonight after work.

Okay radiantpebble - looks like you're in! You will be on the Blue Team to take lovebunchy's place. So, make sure that you go on there and copy and paste the template for your stats. You will begin the contest this Saturday (6/7), so just make sure you have all your starting stats updated before midnight EST on Saturday. Welcome to the contest! :)

**IMPORTANT**


Morning everyone! Sorry I haven't been on top of my game the last few days.

I have a few updates...

1. I have updated the teams with those who didn't check in for the second time this week, as well as anyone who has decided to drop out. So, now we have two teams of 5 and 1 team of 6. Part of me would like to start completely fresh and split up the teams into 4 teams of 4 - but I have decided to just leave it as is and take an average to make it fair.

2. WEIGH-INS - I think that Friday night is a hard time to have your stats in by. Since our freebie day is always Saturday, I am changing WEIGH-IN day to Saturday before MIDNIGHT EST. I will still post the bonus on Saturday mornings, but the points will not be updated until Sunday morning. I hope this is alright with everyone.

On another note -

There are a few people who have not checked in yet or have incomplete updates -

*KawaiiSuzaki - checking in late (please make sure its before MIDNIGHT EST tonight.

*Steve21 - didn't check in
*lisamcrn - incomplete update

Once these are all updated today, I will post the total points tomorrow morning. If anyone doesn't check in or finish updating, you will have 0 points for the week.

:willy_nilly: WEEK 3 BONUS CHALLENGE :willy_nilly:

This week, we are going to have a 2 part bonus challenge. That means MORE POINTS! Need to catch up on some points? - here's your chance.

Part 1: FIBER

"Fiber isn't exactly the most exciting item on the planet. But it's very good for our health, as well as our figure. It helps to reduce constipation, indigestion, gallstones and cholesterol, and helps to combat heart disease and some cancers.

How much fiber should we eat? About 30 grams per day.

Choose a variety of fiber-rich foods, including: oat bran, beans, pulses (e.g. lentils), fruit (e.g. bananas, apples & berries), raw vegetables and whole wheat bread, brown rice etc."


So, each day we will all need to eat 30g of Fiber. That is Sunday through Friday (6 days).


Part 2: BOOSTING SELF ESTEEM AND CONFIDENCE

I have read a lot of your posts and I know that I am guilty of this as well - we are more prone to put ourselves down than build ourselves up. Sooooooo...this week, each of you will need to post ONE POSITIVE STATEMENT about yourselves per day.

Examples:

* I am creative.
* I am a good parent.
* I am determined.
* I am good at my job.
* I am a good friend.

They don't have to be extensive - but it will be fun in getting to know each other as well.

**If you are not able to get to your computer on a daily basis, please make sure that you list ONE positive affirmation for each day. In order to receive points for this part of the challenge, I will need to see SIX positive things you have said about yourself. (If anyone needs clarification on this, just ask)

How will the points work?

The FIBER challenge will be treated as the past Bonus Challenges (2 pts/person if you finish it - 15 points for your team if everyone finishes it.)

For the Self Esteem Challenge, you will receive 2 POINTS PER STATEMENT. That's 12 POINTS per person if you complete 6 of them.

THAT MEANS YOUR TEAM CAN EARN A LOT OF EXTRA POINTS!

BUT - if you have less than 6 positive affirmations, you get ZERO POINTS.

Make sense?

Apologies for not posting this week, but out of town and had no internet in accomodation >.< Always get told you will, and find out you don't when you arrive.

I've got this weeks stats noted down for everyday so will post them in the morning after I got some sleep.

Steve - no problem, I will continue to check back throughout the day so that I can post the numbers once you have updated.

ON A SIDE NOTE - When you guys all put your positive affirmations in your threads this week, can you put a date next to them and make them a separate color from your post?

This will make it easier for me to find when tallying up the points on Saturday.

Okay guys - sorry about being a little behind on this - I wanted to wait until I had everyone's stats for accurate points. I hope I'm doing this correctly with the teams not having equal amounts of team members.

What I did was total up all of the points, divide them by the number of teammates and then multiply that times 6 (the largest team). If that isn't correct, please let me know - first time I've ever run a contest. :)

So, that being said - here are the points for this week:

Blue Team - 54.9
Purple Team - 51.6
Green Team - 59.52​


All of the teams did really well this week - and every team hit one of the total bonus points. Good stuff!!

On the Purple Team and the Blue Team - everyone hit their exercise minutes - GREAT JOB!

On the Green Team - everyone completed the bonus challenge - AWESOME!!

So - running totals so far for the contest -

Blue Team - 82.1
Purple Team - 91.4
Green Team - 92.12


GREEN TEAM HAS TAKEN THE LEAD!​


Just remember - this was the last week that anyone who didn't check in wasn't taken into consideration. We have weeded out who isn't playing anymore, so from here on out - anyone who doesn't check in gets 0 points.
