Weight-Loss Accountability Contest - GET BACK ON TRACK!

Okay guys, here's the deal. Each team is down to THREE PLAYERS per team. We have THREE WEEKS left in the contest - and we have a new twist!! :bigear:

For the final three weeks, we will be switching this to an individually based contest. It's every man/woman for him/herself!!
I was hesistant at first to do it this way, but we can still all encourage each other and hold each other accountable.

Because the Blue Team is in first place, each player on that team will start with 5 points. The rest of us start with 0. (This will make more sense once you see the new stat table.)

How it will work -

For the next three weeks, the weeks will run Sunday through Friday.

Check-in day is Friday before MIDNIGHT EST. Saturdays are "freebie" days.

Exercise requirement is still 180 min/week (30 min/day) - but this will be worth 10 points if you complete the 180.

Bonus challenges will be worth 5 points per each day completed, for a chance to earn 25 points total per week.

Weight loss - pounds lost will be doubled. Lose 1.5 lbs = 3 points.

If any player misses a check-in (doesn't have their stats in on time), they will be automatically eliminated. This includes myself - if I miss a check-in, I will be eliminated from participating, but will still run the contest. (No special dibs here just for being the host.:gnorsi:)
I will be sending a prize to the FINAL WINNER! (this is to be determined depending on how the winner would like the prize delivered - not everyone is comfortable giving out their mailing address online)

I will start a new thread and post it here for everyone to post their new stat table.

Let's shake it up and start losing those pounds!!

Blue Team - please make sure when you post your stat table on the new thread to change your "total points to date" to 5 instead of 0.

It is after 8pm on Sunday and still no word of the bonus for this week. I presume that Sunday is not going to count for it - or it would be unfair to those of us in the earlier time zones.
 
Wow! Did my mind take a hike or what! I'm all excited yesterday about the final three weeks that I completely forgot about the Bonus Challenge!

I apologize, this is the first I have gotten on here since yesterday morning - I was running all day!

Let me get my act together and post that bonus for you guys!!
 
BONUS CHALLENGE FOR WEEK 1 OF THE FINALS


This week will be a two part challenge. Since I completely forgot to post it on Sunday, everyone will automatically start with 5 points for Sunday.

As far as Monday through Friday - here it is.

PART ONE

You must drink half of your body weight in ounces of water each day.

PART TWO

Try a new exercise (yoga, walking, weights - anything you wish) two days this week. It can be any two days - you must post the day you try it, what it is, and how you liked it. It must be at least 30 minutes long.

Part one is worth 5 points per day.

Part two is worth 15 points for each one of the two days.

Is it ok to class doing an exercise DVD or video that you have not done before as a new exercise for this?
 
It would be really helpful to me if other people could post exercise suggestions. School starts this week, and I'm brain-dead! Plus I'm not sure what counts as "new" - we had to play a bunch of different sports in 6th grade PE, so if those all count, I'm at a loss! Plus no gym membership or specialized equipment. :p

What I do fairly regularly:
- gardening (I've been digging out new beds from clay + bermuda grass, which is a pretty good workout)
- Wii Fit yoga and strength exercises. The strength stuff is mostly body-weight calesthenics.
- Wii Fit balance games - you wouldn't think they'd do anything, but you really feel it in your thighs and abs
- Wii Fit aerobics (hula hoop, boxing, step aerobics - although that last one is quite mild)

What I've done within the past year for an extended period at one point or another, but am not currently doing much of:
- walking (too hot!)
- jogging (too hot!)
- the Hacker's Diet calesthenics plan
- Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds (on the free on-demand section of cable)

Can you please clarify - I can see that I need to do two exercise sessions on separate days - and it must be a new exercise. Can the same new exercise be done on both days - or does it need to be two new exercise types.
 
Double points for weight loss - 2 points per pound.
