WTF Is Overtraining?

It could say in my obituary, ‘He died the way he lived; eating nuts’

I have peanuts today, no chance of eating 400g of them, I can’t stand them, that’s what I get for letting my girlfriend do the food shopping without me!

oh ****! Never. ever. let your GF do your food shopping for you! Me and my GF were having taco one night, and I caught her trying to buy ONE pack of cream..

I think it is cream it's called in English.. The high fat diary product.. not liquid, it tasts good on taco.. :D

I'm still feeling a little light and dizzy from training

Here's an article I just read and had to share, I don't usually post much non-fitness stuff but this is shocking to me

BBC NEWS | Wales | Three Welsh politicians 'raped'

No AM training today, little Ben has colic and I haven't slept all night. I'll do most of the AM training in the PM though, I'm just too shattered for early morning lifting today

Colic is some bad stuff. You can get stuff to put in formula that isnt too bad. I dunno if you are using any formula though.

I'm really tired today too, but just reading what you have experienced and you're still hitting the gym, I'm gonna suck it up and go bench 220 for 5 reps now! Just gotta get some breakfast first.

My girlfriend's breast feeding. We're using something called Infacol but it isn't working very well, we're going to try something else instead

I live only to motivate the young men and women of this forum Karky, I ask for nothing in return too, aren't I wonderful ;)

I feel a bit shaky with tiredness, gym in about 30 minutes, how can I get myself alert without using illegal drugs of coffee? (had far too much of that already today)

You just gotta do it big lad. Once im in that frame of mind where 'im tired' i know that im going to have a poor session.

With me im caught up in what science says rather than how i really feel.

e.g. If I personally dont think iv ate enough or decent enough that day, i automatically get into that frame of mind that im not going to be as strong in that session. Same with how much sleep iv had etc.

I recon if i didnt think about that and just did it, i probably wouldnt have those weaker sessions as often.

Off topic but you gave me the idea to say it :D

Smack yourself in the face while looking in the mirror and yell: "Suck it up biotch! Get to work!"

:yelrotflmao:

BigTom said it...in short...don't think about it, just do it.

Sorry about not keeping my log up to date, my training has been a bit erratic with waking up in the night with Ben and not eating properly in the evening (back down to 226lbs).

A brief summary though;
I’ve got my DB pressing up to 187lbs which is only a small increase but an increase all the same
My squat is now 380 which I’m very pleased with, especially given my poor calorie intake right now

I also have a question for people:
I have a company sports event on Thursday afternoon and the shopping list for snacks is quite awful at the moment and I doubt I’ll eat any of it. Is there anything healthy I could suggest that the unhealthy people might also like? I’m thinking along the lines of Beef Jerky. Any ideas?

I always like chips and beer. Cant go wrong, you will recover well and you will not be losing weight. :yelrotflmao:

Anyhow. Maybe with the new kid you need to rethink the 'ol program. 3-4 training days per week. Set it up so all you need to do is get the workouts in, no matter what day or time it is.

^^^^ Did that make sense?

Yeah, makes sense, training 5 days still isn't a problem, it's just twice a day I'm having a little issue with. Should be alright pretty soon though, Ben is sleeping a lot longer at night now so maybe by next week it'll all be back on course

Thats what I said.
