Yay for the walk, Mands! Great job! Don't worry about the scale, it will catch up to your hard work in due time!

Last day before the weigh-in! Woohoo! I am already started on my water for the day and plan to exercise lots later! Looks like another beautiful day here, and I think I will be home from work early, so hopefully I get to go enjoy it! Happy Friday, everyone!

I'm off walking now to get our exercise points... I've had a busy day so no time to exercise yet - but it will be done soon...

I have completed the first litre of water and am in the process of drinking the second litre.
 
I've done my exercise for today (Friday) so that is good.

As predicted I did get punished at the scales - so fully expect to be logging a gain for this week... Thank goodness the hard work brings a lot more points than actual weight loss brings.

Mands - I meant to say to you before that you should certainly not worry about the scale sticking for a few days... You have had a pretty phenomenal 10 or 11 weeks to my certain knowledge... You were the only person in the last challenge (that finished 6 days ago) that lost greater than 10% of their entire bodyweight over that challenge's 10 week period... You then went on to hit an amazing milestone this week... It would be amazing if things continued at a pace like that indefinitely... Most of us would have hit a pause before this... Keep on going and you will be seeing some more stunning results before you know it.

Well done on the walking Mands... It really is an excellent form of exercise... If you ever doubt it - flick back to the early pages of my diary... It is just about the only form of exercise that I did on my big project... I didnt do anything else for ages...

Got 1 1/2 hours in on the bike just now (didn't stop and I don't think I'll be doing it straight like that again!) and just 1L of water left to drink. Today is definitely shaping up to be better than yesterday.
 
Belinda - I am pleased that today is shaping up better for you. Well done for earning lots of points for us.

You guys are doing great!!!! Yay team success! I have all water points and am going out to exercise now! So will have all points accounted for :)

Weigh-in is tomorrow. As of right now I am down a pound overall to 155. Not great but I will take it.
 
A 1 pound loss will be brilliant Camila. When you consider that you have not been well you have done fantastically to have lost weight at all...

You have earned so many points this week it is silly.

Mark my words... I have been in lots and lots of this style of challenge...
They are always won by the team that works hardest to earn their weight loss... The only way to win is by following the healthy eating tasks that are being highlighted and doing the exercise... high weight loss alone will not earn sufficient points... This week we are drinking water and doing exercise of our own choice... Next week we may be all thinking about another aspect of our nutrition or a type of exercise too... We learn things... There will have been people this week that have learnt that they should maybe be more mindful of the amount of water that they drink and possibly why... People tend to resolve to be more mindful of it into the future...

People that believe that they are losing weight in a healthy manner learn how to hone it to be doing so in a more healthy way...

I learnt a heck of a lot in challenges...

Whilst we are all here because we want to lose weight - we will get good weight loss if we consistently work hard...
 
To ease everybody into the mini challenges easily, this first one should be nice and doable by everybody.

Make sure to eat at least 2 different kinds of vegetables, and two different kinds of fruit per day, for 5 points per day. If you manage at least one kind of fruit and one kind of vegetable, you can still earn 2 points.
You can eat the same fruits and vegetables every day if you want. Tinned, frozen and fresh fruit/vegetables are okay. Fruit juice (unless freshly squeezed) does NOT count.


Don't forget to update your scoresheets tomorrow.
 
Thanks Camilla,Omega and Belinda for being understanding..Sorry I havent posted for a couple of days..My long stretch is over for a while.I did manage to get 2 litres of water a day in the last 2 days and half hour of exercise.in each day which is only 3 points a day,But i WAS SO TIRED..The weigh-in is tomorrow.I have not weighed all week..Good luck to all of you.I will post my weight tomorrow night cause Im working all day.Take care everyone.
 
Omega - You are so right! Plus my TOM has arrived...so the fact that I have not gained is amazing to me. I attribute that to making so many amazing changes to my nutrition and lifestyle. I am so proud of the work we have done as a team. All of those consistent points are going to add up! Plus I am starting to feel better!

Christine - Great job still getting in some points despite being so tired and being so busy! Little by little things add up!


My goodness! I just went for my workout. Being that my cough is still sticking around I stuck with a fast walk. My heart was definitely working hard!

7.32 miles in exactly 2 hours! Woohoo. Pretty good for walking, I think! I have definitely picked my pace up for the last week! Plus I got to enjoy the beautiful day outside!!!
 
Christine - well done for earning those points despite difficult circumstances... I am so relieved that you have increased your water because it is important that we are as healthy as we can be - in some ways particularly when we are making our bodies cope with extra stress e.g. by working extra long hours.

Camila - Yay! for a loss despite TOM... I am pleased that you are starting to feel better. Well done for doing so much exercise... I wish that I could describe the weather here as beautiful as it is still bitterly cold...

I have had my full 3 litres of water now - so it is another max points day for me...

We have to remember to have our fruit and veg tomorrow... If I remember it should be easy...
 
Thankfully I start every morning with fruits and veggies when I make my juice! Woohoo :) I like that mini challenge!
 
LOL I am eating a lot of apricots at the minute... I have to remember to vary things a bit more...
 
Apricots are so yummy! I wish I had some. I am making some salmon for dinner with an organic orange on the side. Yum! I just love how diverse fruits and veggies can be...so many different kinds. The things you can do with them are endless!

Also since my walk I've had about another liter of water. Now I can't seem to get enough! :)
 
We had salmon for dinner too... It had to be fish for Good Friday. :) I had peas and sweetcorn with mine.
