Weight-Loss WLF Team Challenge - Team SUCCESS!

Weight-Loss
Sheesh, Omega. You're an exercising fool!! Keep it up!

LOL - its insane - now that I have joined quite a dance community here in Newcastle we get all sorts of dance opportunities that we otherwise would not know about... Morning salsa started at 9:30 and was supposed to stop at 10:30... in fact it rolled on to 10:55 with the preview of semba basics - really until everyone turned up for zumba... that was supposed to end at 12:00 but rolled on a bit too... :)
The semba class was part of a fiesta (Salsabado) and we were there from before 8pm until after midnight...

The place was still going strong when we left... Knowing the people it would probably go on for hours... It is 10am and FB has loads of postings about it timed 6 hours ago... There were loads of dance teachers there and there were all sorts of ad hoc lineups where we all line up facing the teacher and do what they do...

There are lots of forms of dance and they can all be quite addictive and effective forms of exercise.

Today is going to be a lot less energetic an exercise day... I will do some outdoor walking and aim to get my pedometer up to 15,000 - but when you have said that you have probably said it all...

I walked again for an hour today, but I'll do another exercise for the mini-challenge.

This walk wasn't as good today. It's a family park and everyone is supposed to have their dogs on leashes on that trail. Somebody had beagles there "running" them and I was forced to hold my 2-lb puppy most of the way because these dogs followed on our heels for over 1 1/2 miles. And the police and animal control told us they wouldn't do anything because it's supposedly a beagle club. That was no excuse to me, the owners were no where in sight and had no control over their dogs and I had my small child and tiny puppy with me. I'm going to have to find somewhere else to walk because officials can't be bothered to help.

Edit: Finished up my water, ate the organic carrots again today with dinner, and did 50 jumping jacks as my different exercise.

Sorry guys my Internet has been goofed up...can only get in from my phone. Hope to have it fixed tonight! Managed to update my weigh in and points yesterday. Woohoo!

A quick check in before the day starts.

Did 60 kick backs and 60 standing presses for my chicken wings. Hopefully one of these days it will be hot enough to hit the pool! I will go check out what organic fruit I can find.

Let's all have a super "losing" week :)

Well done Belinda, Camila and Mands.

You are all doing brilliantly for our team.

I'm having computer problems too... As you know - we had some pretty major elelctrical problems a couple of weeks ago. It appears that it has aged one of the components inside my computer... It has died a death... Thankfully Rod fixes computers for a living so I know that he will be able to fix it sometime... I just need for him to find time to take it to bits and see what needs replacing, get a new bit and slot it in... Unfortunately he works full time at a college and our exercise schedule means that we are out most evenings so I suspect that it will not get fixed until next weekend...

Until then I am stuck using his computer which is attached to the tv... It means that I do not get the chance to use it for a lot of the time and also it is unwieldy for me as I am shortsighted so need my glasses on to see the screen - but off to see the keyboard...

Oh, Camila - a question though. You put 35 points down for the mini challenge last week, there were only 21 maximum to be had. Could you check again please? :)

I'm getting stuff done today. Already got in over an hour of exercise, drank a ton of water, and ate the organic carrots (I'm about out so I'm going to find another food while out tonight). All I have to do is pick my unique exercise and drink one more bottle of water.

I got the rest of my water in and will claim the situps I did as my exercise. I also found some organic juice and eggs at the store tonight. (I also picked up some of that greek yogurt I saw Omega post a link to. The kind that's a good source of protein. Thanks for posting that up, Omega.)

Well done!

I'm pretty much sorted for the day.

I only do one aerobics class for the week (one hour on a Monday) so that is going down as my unique exercise for the day. I have also done some outdoor walking and an hour of zumba so the exercise and unique exercise are all good...
I have had 3 litres of tap water.

I only said this morning that I would stick to the same organic food - but I got lazy and had 7 organic cherry tomatoes so I didn't have the same after all...

That gives me max points for today....

This computer is really irritating... My postings this week are going to be full of spelling mistakes...

I've just done a Bokwa class. That is going to be my unique exercise for today.
I have also done some outdoor walking and will be doing three salsa classes tonight - but I plan on doing two salsa classes on Thursday so will probably use it for the challenge then...

I had two organic eggs and an acai berry drink that was organic as well, so I definitely got those 2 challenge points. I'll be working on the water and exercising. And I downloaded a Zumba dance game and did a short 20-minute class and will claim that as my exercise. I finished up the rest of my exercise between walking and the bike and finished out the water dancing just now. That stuff is serious.

All exercise points today. I am going to try a cardio dance class (haha!) so that will be my unique exercise!

Organic servings today: A lot!
Kale
Celery
Apple
Lemon
Carrot
And organic ingredients from my pizza for dinner: (Note: Not sure how much of each is a serving...but I covered my servings with other stuff. I just think the list is fun to look at!)
Organic unbleached wheat flour with organic wheat germ and organic wheat bran
tomatoes
EVOO
honey
basil
garlic
evaporated cane juice

That's a lot of yummy organic food!

Water...I will get there before bed!

All points!

On another note: Scale was up to 152 today. Grr. I hate it but I can't say I'm surprised. I gotta work extra hard before the weigh-in.

Organic eggs again this morning. Later on I'll probably do organic greens in a salad again, so plenty of stuff there for the mini-challenge.

Also, I used the Bowflex to work out muscles in my shoulders and arms (seated lat row, tricep push down, standing bicep curl--40lbs resistance x 15 reps each) as my exercise for the mini-challenge.

Great job team!

Water - All pts!
Exercise - All pts! (Did spinning for my unique!)
Organic - Again, lots of organic goods: Kale, apples, carrots, lemons, cucumbers, parsley, celery

All points!

I wish the local Walmart had a bigger selection of organic food. Just in the produce section all that's offered is salad greens and carrots--nothing else. I'm surprised it even has organic drinks and eggs. Otherwise I have to drive to the nearest city for more variety.

There isnt a whole lot of organic choice at the supermarket where I do my shopping... Having said that - I am not convinced that organic tastes any better so I do not bother with it normally... It is certainly more expensive...
