Weight-Loss
To ease everybody into the mini challenges easily, this first one should be nice and doable by everybody.

Make sure to eat at least 2 different kinds of vegetables, and two different kinds of fruit per day, for 5 points per day. If you manage at least one kind of fruit and one kind of vegetable, you can still earn 2 points.
You can eat the same fruits and vegetables every day if you want. Tinned, frozen and fresh fruit/vegetables are okay. Fruit juice (unless freshly squeezed) does NOT count.


Don't forget to update your scoresheets tomorrow.

Tasha, no worries! I am in this contest to have fun and to hopefully keep myself and others motivated for the next 3 months. If because of this contest you are behaving one iota better than you would have otherwise, then it's a success! There's too much stress in our lives because of weight, dieting, exercise, etc.... this is just a fun way to keep it fresh. :)

I'm thinking the first mini-challenge just posted by San should be a breeze for most of us... it will be for me! I eat 3-4 different veg and a couple different fruit everyday, anyway.

I just spent an hour and a half mowing my half-acre yard with my push mower. I guaranty that is as much exercise as an hour of biking or yoga would have been. I'm still doing Yoga later, but I think I'm done for the day as far as points go. Water is on track, I'll do a good 5 liters by day's end.

Go get'm teammates. Do the best you can... that's all that can be asked.
 
I agree with you on the first mini-challenge, Don. I saw it and I was like, "Huh, free points!" :D

Full points today! Managed to do yoga and zumba.
 
Hey Tasha - tom sux - I suffered that the last 2 weeks - good news - tom weight will disappear next week & you ll get an awesome weigh in!!

You guys are all doing so great! I too think that we have next week's mini challenge in the bag! :D

I did my water & gym today (just now) - so full points for the week! YAY!

I like that mini challenge! Should be pretty easy to do. Does anyone think they will have a high calorie day on Easter? It's a big day at our house, with a lot of food - and dessert! Hoping it doesn't set me too far back...
 
By the way, I forgot to say thanks for the tips about changing up the diet and exercise! Wouldn't be too hard to eat a little more, huh?
 
The first challenge was meant to be easy, even though you'd be surprised - when I lost weight the first time, a few years ago, I was eating no fruit and vegetables at all, so it was a major problem for me. *lol*

And I'll be having my cheat day on Easter Sunday, so yes, definitely a high calorie day for me. We've got to treat ourselves occasionally.....;)
 
Not for us. My parents are going out of town, so we won't be doing a big dinner or anything.

True that. when i first lost 60lbs - I only ate CARBS!!!! Bread, pasta, potato!! ( i had health issues and I couldnt eat fresh veggies, fruit!) i did tons of exercise though!! I went down to 170 lbs!!! from 230! 9 years ago...

You outdid me in the weight loss department.... go girls!
I did pretty well considering I gained on two days... here are my stats, I'm all updated:

I lost 3.6 lbs, or 0.91% of my weekly starting weight.
I maxed on points all week long.

Good luck in this week going forward. I've eaten 4-5 vegetables, and will easily knock out the fruit portion shortly.
 
Done my exercise and water for today

Unfortunately my lovely horse decided to jump on my foot so I'm currently barely able to walk and sporting awesome bruises but I will do my full points for this week even if it kills me

Exercise: If heavy yard work counts, I got in about 6 hours.
Fruits: Apple, Banana, Dry fruit mix.
Veg: Romaine Lettuce, Asparagus, Tomato, Black beans
Weight: Down 1.0

Sunday
Water: 3 Liters
Exercise: None as of 8pm... may still hit the bike. I'll update later.
Fruits: Pineapple, blueberry
Veg: Romaine, Parsnips, Tomatoes, Carrots, Potatoes and Onions.
Weight: Down 0.6

I did my hour of exercise today - treadmill...i feel like i could do more - I might do some DVD exercise :D

I have drunk plenty of water - full points....

Edit: I did do 15 min toning - not much - but yay!!!

Oops forgot about the veggies and fruit challenge....well to log it :)

Yesterday: tomato, garlic, banana & apple

Today: radish, tomato, cucumber, banana, apple - and I will have pineapple later

I didn't get exercise points today or yesterday, but I did get all the water and mini-challenge points.
