Weight-Loss WLF Team Challenge Team CRUISIN' FOR LOSIN'

Weight-Loss
27/3
Struggling today seem to be really hungry and its coming up to TTOM so cravings are quite bad today but so far I have been good but its only 12pm here, but I will do ok.
My plan for today water is half way done already and its meant to be my easy exercise day ( no running) but its much cooler here so see how I feel I will either go for another run 30 mins and walk 30 mins or just all walking :)

I have started to do sit-ups started at 10 and have now worked my way up to 15 will try my hardest to do 20 tonight see how I go :)

Justina, I will say that I tried yoga from a dvd and did not like it at all, but once I did group yoga it was much better. Usually there is really calming music playing throughout the room, which doesn't translate through tv or laptop speakers. I am not a hippy in the slightest (in fact, punks usually don't get along with hippies :p), but the only good way to describe it is 'positive energy.' You might like it better if you tried it in a group.

Got my exercise and water in for the day!

I just did a Yoga DVD (designed for fat guys, so it wasn't too bad). It claimed it was a "fat burning" yoga and it definitely made me sweat. I am capable of doing maybe 80-90% of it right now. That was 30 minutes. I also have finished with the water goal already -- but I will still drink more as it's only 7:20pm. I should finish with a 30 minute easy bike ride.

Tasha - I hear you - tom sucks...I m finally coming out of it...i was retaining water for 2 weeks!! I even gained some. Great idea about the sit ups...maybe I should start doing it too!

I see what you are saying Cory. I have to find "my" group. Lol. The first time I ever did yoga was about 2 years ago. One of my best friends is a yoga teacher back in Spain - she is super advanced - and even though she toned it down for me - i was struggling. This time I used a DVD - Yoga - weight-loss workout for DummieS..
So I guess none of these 2 is my style.... in search of the perfect yoga group for me :)

Don - You are doing yoga too! Awesome - that's the thing about yoga - you have to find your level to enjoy it (I guess)

BTW WELL DONE ALL OF YOU!!!

---I am done with the gym 65min elliptical & done with the water too!!! ----

How about Yo-Gettes or Yo-Gurts?

:)

OK, finished my day with my best bike cardio in 3 weeks. I'm good for full points today.... now let's see if I can start losing weight again.

HAHA @ Cory & Don...:biggrinjester:
I agree Cory - I don't like the name myself either - I was JK.

How is everyone else doing : jsaund, oregongal & Tasha? Hope you guys are having a good week!

I am enjoying the challenge! It is motivating to try and keep up with everyone. Had a busy day with the kids today. Not an exercise day. Will try to make up for it in water consumption. Keep up the good work everyone!

yesterday wasn't a good day for me ate way to much and only exercised for half hour but drank my 3 ltrs so nearly all points

Great efforts everyone! Perfection is likely not going to be possible for ANY of us during this project... don't let it get you down, just do the best you can. This is a LONG competition. :)

I'm done for the day. Water is 100% and exercise is 100%.

food not so good again today :( but i have the water points and will have all exercise points even if I don't feel like it :)

Did my exercise yesterday and the water...so far doing well today.
Food is looking good too...
Home made Indian food for lunch: chicken korma & jasmine rice - yumyum!!
Juicing for dinner! Followed by workout in the gym :D

Have a good day everyone!

EDIT: i did not go to the gym - instead i did a DVD workout - Target toning - 40 mins + some extra exercise to have an hour done.

Full points today!

I LOVE Indian food, Justina. I can do a pretty good tikka masala and some saag. Yum yum yum.

So far, I am done with water and 1/2 the exercise. I did a cardio DVD earlier. My plan is to do the bike again tonight, but if that changes I'll let you know.

Hi everyone! Been downing the water today AND I made it to water aerobics. My scale is stuck though - what can I do to make it move??

There are a couple of things you can do to break out of a plateau. You can trick your body by eating a little more for a day or two to boost your metabolism a little. You can also switch up what you're doing for exercise. If you've been doing something for more than a month or so, your body becomes accustomed to it and you get less out of it. Either bumping up intensity or switching activities completely can help. I would recommend eating a little more for a couple days in combination with the exercise change.

I agree with Cory - if you change your diet a little - it will help you to start losing again!!
Also maybe you are gaining muscles? (as well as losing weight) - muscles are heavier.
Lastly maybe you are retaining water - my body did that for 2 weeks: in that case you just have to wait it out.
Unless it sodium/water retention - in that case you can get rid of it by drinking lots of water.

WEIGH IN DAY TOMORROW!!!!

Doing good with water & exercise - hoping for max points for the week.
& scale is really sweet this morning - I hope it will the same tomorrow!!! I have high hopes.

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!
