Weight-Loss WL competition: TEAM VICTORY

Weight-Loss
that's about 0.2 kcal....i think they would consider that 0 in the States. In the States it's marketed as a zero calorie sweetener.

no problem :D I think it's awesome to see something measured in kilojoules lol. I use metric a lot in school but as everyone knows we are still imperial over here.

Well everyone got good news and bad news. But I have to tell you the bad news before the good news. The bad news is I did not get in my water or exercise yesterday. It was a really terrible day. Also up 0.2 on the scale but this is really good news as TOM is here so that means my actual weight has to be 3-5lbs less than that :D--and it's not even Friday! Lets hope it goes down by then.

I do a bit of both... I fill up half litre bottles of cold tap water to drink when I am on the treadmill or doing zumba... sometimes I drink that when I am doing salsa too depending on the venue... if there is a bar there then I buy something at the bar which may be bottled sparkling water or might be a diet coke...

I am currently shooting for more water than I get through like that... I tend to buy some bottles of sparkling water with a slight flavour added... I prefer to drink that when I am watching the tv or on the computer... Today I had a litre bottle of "sparkling spring water with a hint of grapefruit flavour". I have drank 1.5 litres of tap water today. Half a litre when I did 2 miles at 4mph on the treadmill and 1 litre when I did an hour of zumba. After having my water I have had a small amount of diet cola...

I know for a fact that I will have a lot of loose skin when I get back to goal... I have a lot of loose skin now... I overstretched my skin and it went down a bit but not nearly enough... I need a tummy tuck and boob job - but I am not having those until I am back to goal... When I was at goal I was measured under lab conditions for UK Biobank and I took my percent body fat down to 21.7%... That was classed as very low for a woman my age... That removed any doubt as to whether the folds of skin were loose skin or fat... LOL now they have some fat in them again...

I didnt have the operations at the time because the breast consultant at the local hospital where I used to live said that I have an excellent case for the boob job to be done on the NHS...

Sorry about the late reply OMEGA...my life has been a long mess these days lol I also love sparkling water--especially Perrier pink grapefruit. I think you are so brave to want to get a boob job. Breast pain is one that I cannot tolerate so I can only hope the best for them after I lose weight. When I gave birth and it was time to feed I thought i would lose my mind lol the pain was tremendous. I'm in my early thirties now, but am already seeing the effects of gravity and starting to get grey hair. Also the extra skin on my tummy after giving birth is a LOT better but still not completely gone so I know weight loss will make it worse. Tummy tuck here I come!

LOL well my boobs were enormous when I was big (as was the rest of me)... Although I definitely am overweight again and have gained some weight I am small compared to how I was...

I found out that under all that fat I had a fairly small frame but I was left with a lot of skin around the tummy and boob area... The thing is that the skin doesnt squash down to nothing so I have ended up with a really odd bra size... I am currently wearing UK bra size 32 JJ...

I have just looked it up on a bra size converter and it tells me that 32 JJ is the equivalent to US size 32 N

My boobs are cumbersome at the best of times and I can have difficulty getting a bra that fits... Even speciality shops struggle... I often end up having to go up to 34 back as ranges of cup size just do not go up high enough... if I wear a normal bra for Zumba - the straps literally cut into my shoulders... I have to wear a 34 J sports bra for zumba... the shop assistant said that they would try to get some sports bras my size sometime this year... I don't like bra shopping on the internet because sizes vary from one company to another and one design to another... I end up trying on whatever they have in my size and buying the most comfortable one...

I generally take the attitude that I have gone through a lot to get to where I am and deserve to feel right in my skin. I think that the fact that I sailed through a hernia operation in 2008 colours my view...

You are quite a bit younger than I was when I lost weight (so your skin will be more elastic) and of course you are not as big... With luck you will not have any problems...

if your weight is not down on Friday it doesnt matter... the only really important weighing is at the end... if the scales were smart enough to weigh just the fat element you know that it would be down... The important thing is to try to not comfort eat your way through TOM...

if you can bring yourself to exercise - do so... not just for the challenge points - but a bit of light exercise may help relieve the pains that TOM can bring...

Drinking water will help reduce the water retention from TOM too... it may therefore stop you feeling as bloated...

Girl thats tge truth! I notice a huge difference when I drink water before tom and when i dont! Big difference!

Xenon - just so that you know that it isnt Korrie and me trying to con you that the challenge things might help - this is what the UK National Health Service says is the best thing that women can do to help themselves during periods.

it is actually a very useful medical website.

JUST FYI: Monster has been emailing me. He can not seem to post currently. I have notified the admin and he will figure it out...but he wants me to tell you that he is doing well and drinking that water!!

Its a shame that he is having difficulty posting...
He was posting that he was having difficulty on 12th and 14th - but I thought that it had been resolved... There is clearly still a problem there... I hope that it is sorted out soon.

doing good team victory

I haven't done any exercise for the last 2 days, been feeling a bit blah but back on the treadmill tonight :)

i'm thinking my weight loss wont be as good this week as it has been but next week is another challange :)

The treadmill might help with feeling blah... Play some loud music with a good strong beat (I often play my zumba music) and step out... It can really help you get through that water too... :)

As a PCOS lady I used to suffer a lot from mood swings - I would go from the heights of happiness to the depths of despair... I believe that regular walking and other exercise helps me a lot... Exercise releases endorphins and seratonin and they make us feel good...

feeling much better today

didn't do so well this week only a kg but still a loss is a loss :)
will do better next week

Tasha - 1kg is more than 1% which is a really good weight loss for a week. Don't feel bad about an achievement like that - feel good about it... celebrate it!

Thanks omega :) your a real motivator in this challenge its great thank you
