how do you do it Tasha? I am coming close to 64oz but I never make it...much less 3 litres! Did 48oz. Today was an awesome day for me so far as exercise is concerned...strength training and cardio. Ate pretty well too :D I will definitely not be the smallest loser next week!

I'm just used to it now but I have 750ml with my breakfast and then I have generally finished a 2ltr bottle by 2ish then another 1ltr between 2 and bed :)
if you popped me with a pin sometimes I think I will burst :)

Well done team, we are doing AWESOME but we could do better so my aim to get more exercise points then last week :)
 
LOL I warn you if you do try the water - you will go to the toilet more often than ever before in your life......

I do think that it is a good idea to try for at least the 64 oz that Korrie is suggesting and then try to bump it up a bit at a time... I must admit that when I set the challenges for water drinking using that recommendation as a basis, I tend to allow people to claim half points if they manage 100 ounces if their calculation takes them higher than that... People tend to be able to push themselves to go to 100 ounces easier than higher again...

It is not like an on / off switch whereby 140 ounces is good for you and 130 ounces isnt... If the calculation takes you to 140 ounces, having 64 ounces is better than 40 ounces... Anyone that manages 100 ounces is clearly pushing themselves and doing their body a lot of good even if it isnt optimum according to scientists... I am all in favour of accepting a few imperfections and doing the best I can.

Thanks for the lovely compliment... I can say that I am a lot fitter now at 53 than I was at half this age... I look back now and wish that I had been fit like this when I was younger... it would have been nice to have a better choice with clothes and not spend most of my life feeling that my size was my defining characteristic... the first thing that anyone would say if describing me... I was 48 before I got anywhere with my weight... I guess that I am making up for lost time... LOL Now I wish that I looked as young as I feel.

You know you can just do like the biggest loser and figure out the overall percentage in the end by averaging how many people there are per team. That's the only way to get an accurate count anyway. Glad to have you on our team. How are you doing with getting your 64ozs of water per day?

Yeah I'm concentrating on the 64oz in first and then I will see how I far I can take it up. Do you buy bottled water or use tap? Now that I am seriously embarking on my journey to lose weight, I also wish that I had gotten rid of this when I was so much younger like teens or 20's. Now I am sure my skin will be sagging and I'll probably need a tummy tuck. But hey...at least we'll be hotter than most people in our age range :D

1 hour plus I FINALLY did 64 oz of water :party: Congrats on getting in your 2 exercise points mac5!!
I've been wanting to update my diary with this... I started tracking again on sparkpeople to make sure I stay within cal range and to keep a log of my exercise as well. Yesterday I did 1584 cals :-D I am so happy about that!!!

How do you guys feel about the zero cal drink challenge for next week? I think it will be a pretty fun challenge...it's sort of something I am used to doing when I diet, so pls expect full points from my end :-D
 
Xenon - Nice job :beerchug: I am good with that challenge. I don't drink soda. I am a water drinker anyway. I will only have to eliminate my breakfast drink and eat a yogurt instead so no biggy. WE GOT THIS!!! So far this morning I already have my hour of exercise, Yeah me. I feel great. I am off work today and tomorrow so I am hoping to start a diary.

Thanks for the warm welcome! i'm doing pretty good with the water challenge, only fell short one day so far! I gave up pop all together about a month ago, best thing I ever did!

Congratulations for giving up soda. I remember when I did years ago I felt horrible for a while then great. Nice work!!! So worth it :)

I do a bit of both... I fill up half litre bottles of cold tap water to drink when I am on the treadmill or doing zumba... sometimes I drink that when I am doing salsa too depending on the venue... if there is a bar there then I buy something at the bar which may be bottled sparkling water or might be a diet coke...

I am currently shooting for more water than I get through like that... I tend to buy some bottles of sparkling water with a slight flavour added... I prefer to drink that when I am watching the tv or on the computer... Today I had a litre bottle of "sparkling spring water with a hint of grapefruit flavour". I have drank 1.5 litres of tap water today. Half a litre when I did 2 miles at 4mph on the treadmill and 1 litre when I did an hour of zumba. After having my water I have had a small amount of diet cola...

I know for a fact that I will have a lot of loose skin when I get back to goal... I have a lot of loose skin now... I overstretched my skin and it went down a bit but not nearly enough... I need a tummy tuck and boob job - but I am not having those until I am back to goal... When I was at goal I was measured under lab conditions for UK Biobank and I took my percent body fat down to 21.7%... That was classed as very low for a woman my age... That removed any doubt as to whether the folds of skin were loose skin or fat... LOL now they have some fat in them again...

I didnt have the operations at the time because the breast consultant at the local hospital where I used to live said that I have an excellent case for the boob job to be done on the NHS...

i'm picking up my exercising alot more but finding my self hungry ALOT more which is making it harder but i'm doing ok :)

next weeks challange i'm ok with i'm not a soda drinker but I always have a coffee in the morning with sweetner and its going to be had to not have that :( but I will do it :)

whats everyone elses thoughts?

Yesterday I consumed 64+ozs of water. That is easy for me, I love water. Today I got my hour of exercise in as well. How is everyone else today?
