Weight-Loss WL competition TEAM GOLD

Weight-Loss
SAN...you'll have to remember your scoresheet is on pg 3. I noted it in the 1st post of this thread so I'd remember.

Yeah, I was trying to move it to the first page, but it doesn't seem to work. :/ I wrote some stuff down and put a big 'SHEET ON PG.3 notice on the top of the page. *lol*

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome. And yeah...at least I know what I did wrong, the weight didn't magically appear - I screwed up, I know what to avoid, and even better, I know what worked and didn't work for me last time. Which means I can skip the stuff that didn't work, and get right back to the good stuff. :)

I have an additional goal later on in the year - a friend in America has asked me to come and be a bridesmaid at her wedding. Which means that by September, I will have to get into a dress...somehow. I know it will be far from perfect, but I am sure I can make a bit of a difference by then. Plus, it will be nice not to get stuck in a plane seat, or have to ask for a seatbelt extension.

Welcome San! I'm glad you're here.

Max exercise points today. Over 2 hours of tree cutting. I would have worked until dark, but I had to stop as my arms were getting too fatigued to safely hold the chainsaw. I'm beat!

Hi guys, hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

Well I did 1.5hours of exercise, I know that only 1hr counts, but the other 30mins was because I only did 30 mins yesterday. I know it doesn't count retroactively, but I did it for myself.

I am under my caloric intake for the day. (thank you 1.5hours of exercise) but I am over my sodium by almost 900mg :banghead:. You win some you lose some, but Sunday is my day of Cheat Eat, so I was going to have my coleslaw and potato salad and steamed crawfish with plaintains.

I know it seems excessive, but I have found out that if I incorporate one cheat day in the week, I tend to stick with it longer, I look forward to that day and that meal.

But I still was under my goal, so I don't feel that bad, I just know the scale is going to be merciless tomorrow due to the sodium, so I am expecting it.:svengo:

Ah well, everyone, until tomorrow, remember no one remembers who comes second or third, but THEY DO REMEMBER WHO BROUGHT HOME THE GOLD!!!

Sodium will only effect your water weight on a temporary basis and your fat loss none at all (Not to say it's healthy). Drink lots of water. Very good job on the exercise!

WELL SAID! :)

SAN - you have a great goal!! you can totally nail that!! i have a similar motivation - although i am not the bridesmaid - but i still wanna look good! The wedding I am attending is in May. Its a mini-goal for me.

WELL DONE GOLD TEAM TODAY!!! YOU ALL ARE DOING WELL!!!

As for me i totally outdid myself in the gym!! i m so not used to exercize - i avoided it for months - there were a few attempts here and there...but was lame...so today i got on the eliptica and i did 60 mins!!! (plus 5mins cool down) After 30 mins i was ready to give up...so i started to give myself mini-targets...5 more minutes, another 5...at 45 mins I just wanted to get off it. But I made it!!!! I was sooo proud!! I love this feeling - my fitness level is improving every day!!! Yay!

I agree. A sodium gain need only be temporary.

I know - I once gained something like 8 pounds with sodium... it sounds mad but is true.

Drinking lots of water gets it out of your system.

It is easy to go high sodium at the weekend. I went high sodium last weekend...
That is why I voted for the weigh days to be Friday so that we would have all week to get rid of it.

Well done everyone for getting that exercise done...

I have been discussing the challenge with my husband.

Yesterday - my husband went to you tube and played Spandau Ballet gold - with the chorus I have quoted...

It was great. It is going onto my motivational music playlist.

gold
always believe in your soul
you've got the power to know
you're indestructible
always believe in, because you are
gold

It might help for you to play it or sing it to yourself if you find yourself needing a motivational boost to get the exercise done...

It is funny - I can't think of nearly such an encouraging song for the other team names... The best team gets the best team name... :biggrinjester:

Hey all, I've done 3hours of gardening today. It def counts as exercise because I'm exhausted!

Have a great Monday everyone.

Looks like there will be some snow-shoveling on the cards in a little while - looks like I shouldn't have any problems to get my points for today. :)

I have a 1 hour aerobics class starting in about an hour so my points are guaranteed too. :)

1 hour aerobics done followed by some walking in the snow. Pedometer is on 19,671 so far. Max exercise points claimed for the challenge so far. :hurray:

341 today, a .6 pound rebound. I ate more late and I'm sore from the tree cutting. Being sore usually couples with an increase in weight for me. I'm drinking plenty of water and this will make for a nice dramatic drop.

Quercus - everyone has these day to day fluctuations. My weight is up today...

It doesnt really matter as the trend for us both is down - and at a very good rate.

San - I absolutely love your signature...

I am using my 2013 ticker to help me focus / be obsessive on my drive back to my old goal weight... I want to be there asap so that I can have my proper ticker back...

If I didnt need my ticker - I would copy your signature.

Hey you guys! I am down 5 lbs since Friday. *YAY* ~happy dance~ i know first week of dieting and all that - but i m thrilled!

It looks promising! I feel so motivated! I am going to the gym tonight. 1 hour or more.
My food is looking good for the day (in diary)
I hope I can avoid snacking - been really good with that recently.

I hope have a good day too. :grouphug:

A quote I like to help :)

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

Ack just got off the scale, I knew I went over board on the Sodium yesterday, but dang 4+ pounds.

But I wouldn't change a thing, just have to keep on trucking, and I enjoyed my steamed crawfish so every axn has consequences. And tomorrow is weigh in day for logging, (not a good sign, not a good sign)

got in the exercise, (that's a good sign) but not as much as I would like (not a good sign) so I aim to do better tomorrow morning with this tired body. (forgot how much aches and pains and exhaustion you feel when you start exercising again.)

I'm aiming for 1.5 hours tomorrow, wish me luck guys.
