Weight-Loss WL competition TEAM GOLD

Weight-Loss
Hi guys, sorry to check in so late. Had a very busy day, unfortunately I only did 30mins of exercise today, I will do better tomorrow.:blush5:

I think I am going to go back to the getting my exercises out in the morning, waiting until evening it gets short-cut too much.

Hey you guys - good job all of you!

I did an hour walk today. if you are interested I have detailed my day in my diary - click on the link in my signature.

transparent: - we are starting on similar weights!! its always good to see people with similar challenges!

Transparent - well done for trying. Every minute counts - so if you can do more it would be good.

It is actually a very good idea to exercise in the morning. I often do that myself - and was a firm believer in doing that in my big weight loss project a few years ago.

A lot of people are aware that eating breakfast kicks off their metabolism - but actually doing exercise does that too... It is quite a good trick for encouraging weight loss.

Apart from challenge points - it is a good idea to exercise every day. When we do exercise our bodies burn more calories for the day after that. It is a bit like over-clocking a computer. If you exercise every day your body will be permanently running in that over-clocked phase.

Hey all, have just been for a 1 1/4 hour walk (6km, half uphill and half back down), and I'm trying to keep my day active, I got a bit lazy at the start of last week so I'm trying a bit harder.

Food is going really well for me, I'm measuring and being careful with portions and haven't been eating more than planned.

hey guys, just popping in to say hi and spy on your progress:coolgleamA: You guys look like you're doing great. Keep up the good work!

Day 2: 1 hour exercise and well under on calories. I may have another snack, but I'll still be under. I took it pretty easy on the 2nd half hour of exercise as I was tired and my rear hurt from this morning peddle.

I am working on re-learning to run for a couple 10k races that I am registered in and planning on doing a half marathon in December. I have a program to follow, so that i can be properly prepared. I also teach aqua fitness at the YWCA and do weight training on my own. I love Latin dance and do it with my little ones before bed often (that reminds me, I should count that as exercise too! I'll have to go back and edit my post!). We love Salsa Babies!
I am working on my nutrition, as that is my biggest hurdle (that and my mental barriers of not thinking I can do it). So Sunday is meal plan day for the week. My nutrition goals include drinking more water, eating 3 healthy snacks/day, eating a good breakfast, packing a nutritious and filling lunch for at work and controlling my portions at supper. I have cut out pop, chips and candy. I still have a weakness for chocolate so I am working on limiting it and only having the really good stuff in small amounts so I appreciate it more.

I am so proud of you all. I knew right from the start that we could all do this.

Anna, Quercus and Ijustwannabefit - well done with getting maximum points with your food and exercise.

Everyone in this team is a natural winner. We can really go out and win every point which is up for grabs...

We are all hungry for the prize! The big PRIZE! Something so much better than the trinket that WLF has on offer...

We all want our weight loss dreams to come true. It will only happen with hard work.

Xenon and Steve - thanks for visiting our team and cheering us on.

As you can see GOLD are certainly throwing down the gauntlet and other teams will have to work very hard if they want to have any sort of chance in this challenge.

Has everyone done their hour of exercise for Sunday?

I have done mine.

My two rest days are Friday and Sunday. That doesnt mean that I do nothing on those days - it means that I do not have any regular exercise classes on those days. I do on the other days...

I often go out walking for my exercise on Sunday. He is working on his own weight loss project.

Today however, Rod isnt feeling too well so he decided that he didnt want to go out walking.

Luckily I have a Tunturi T60 treadmill in my living room so I hopped on the treadmill and did my exercise in our living room.

I did 7 miles at 4.0mph. So that was 1 hr 45 mins of exercise.

Food control is going well.
I am managing to stick to drinking my water at the right level and it is helping my weight too. :biggrinjester:

If anyone isn't checking that they are drinking the right amount of water - then the chances are it would help their weight loss.

Hey you guys!! You are doing really well!!

I am having a great weekend. it's not midday yet here...so no exercise yet - we had some other things to do this morning.
I have every intention to go to the gym this afternoon and drag my husband along :D
I had a sneak peak of the scale today!! it looks awesome - great loss - since Wednesday! (that's when i started my weight loss /healthy lifestyle /dieting challenge!!) Also I did the 24 hour fasting (detox) - so i guess that helped too. Now i m back to my normal healthy diet - so I am planning to do some more intensive exercise today to maintain what i have lost!!!
The first week of dieting always result in great weight loss for me! I know it's going to slow down one week in.

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

:grouphug:

GREAT job everyone!

San - it is great to see you - taking your rightful place in the winning GOLD team.

What we have done before you have done again. 2013 will be the year that we lose this weight that we have gained.

We already know what we did last time to make the weight disappear.
