Weight-Loss WL competition TEAM GOLD

Weight-Loss
No need to ask - you did it...

I got the impression that you were doing a lot of exercise...

The ruling was in the posting that I put.
if you do a extra half hr of any exercise you can still have the 2 points that's for anyone not able to do squats or skipping

There was a definite ruling that an extra half hour of exercise counts. Due to work commitments you were not able to do squats or skipping and it says that it is for everyone...

I m pretty sure he deserves the exercise portion of the mini-challenge!! wow!!
Is that one or two extra points a day?

Points added. Thanks for looking out for me Omega and sorry to to the whole team. I intended to finish strong, but I'm not able.

I'm happy that I've lost weight and I know that my weight is going to drop on of these days. You guys are a fantastic team! I know I haven't been much support as of late, but good luck in this last week of the challenge!

I hope to drop some this week as I should be done with the most physically taxing part of the line by the middle of next week. Since my belly measurements continue to go down I can hope that water retention/swelling will go down with the intensity. Walking in the woods is much easier than walking in a swamp and that means way fewer holes to dig too.

I'll try to catch up a bit tomorrow.

Just think Quercus - No apology is warranted - you are still a very valuable member of our team... And you are finishing strong.

I am fairly confident that you will be getting 2 exercise points most days this week - which is more points than most players still playing in the other teams will earn.

Add that in to the fact that you will probably lose more weight than me - even if you have a bad week (in your terms) and you have your situation in context.

If San decides to make the next challenge a team game - you will be a very strong member of your team.

I'm really going to try my best to make a sprint to the finish this week. I'm not within sight of my goal, but I will finish on a positive note.

I'm nowhere near my goal either. I thought at the start that a lot of goals risked being unrealistically high and said so. Mine was less challenging than yours but I am nowhere near mine.

Hi guys, just checking in again before bedtime. I will be so grateful when the project at work is done. I know many out there don't have jobs, but this working 7 days a week is kicking my butt, it aint like I'm 20 anymore:smilielol5:

Okay, here it goes, today I did not exercise, it was a conscious 'my body is aching from not having a day of rest and dang nabbit I'ma gonna take today off'. So no exercise, but I did do my 30 pushups?? is it 20 or 30 because I can't remember so to be on the safe side I was doing 30+.

Sunday
B:McD's hash brown, egg&cheese mcmuffin,coffee, hotcakes
L:coffee
D:mac n cheese, kidney bean n' rice, potato salad and conch stuffing
Calories:~2593

Went overboard, but it is my cheat day so I won't go completely nuts over it, but I was just craving some McD's and I am more of a homemade grits and egg girl.:svengo:

It is 20 - so absolutely no need to do more than 20 for challenge points.

As it happens - I forgot to do my 20 pushups yesterday... It was a busy day and I clean forgot...

I did all my walking though and brought in my calories and nutrients at the right level so it wasnt a dead loss... Just not going to earn me maximum challenge points...

I can most definitely sympathise with both Transparent and Quercus regarding working long hours. I do not work now - but in my younger days I did more than my fair share of it... I will always remember my time working for Credit Suisse First Boston investment bank on Canary Wharf in London. I worked excessively long hours there... We had to put in a holiday form when we wanted a Sunday off... The worst we ever got was a project where they wanted me to do 22 hour days... They did not give me enough time to get home and get back so they had me booked into a hotel which was a 2 minute taxi ride away... Somewhere to crash for 2 hours before doing it all again... We begged them to take on more staff - but they just kept saying that someone new would not know their computer systems...

The human body is not made to work in that manner - even work which is mentally exhausting without the level of physical exercise that some people like Quercus does.

LOL I retired aged 43 and havent been able to face the idea of working since...

LOL I earned good money - but it never did me, my health or my weight problems any favours... I simply ignored my health and my health problems just got worse.

We all get to a stage where we have to put our health first.

People can enjoy aspects of their work and can enjoy the financial benefits and kudos that a successful career brings... Indeed - I think that it is normal to define ourselves by such things...

When you get to a stage when you can devote more time to your health - I am confident that you will. I am proud of you for keeping your health in mind sufficiently in difficult times to come in here and earn what points you can.

Hope you are all ok, I'll read back to see what's been going on. I finally had a small loss after being on a plateau for a while.

It was fun thanks. We finished early because my hubby's boots broke, so we went and had a second adventure with our kayak and snorkelling gear. It was really motivating for me, because of the weight I have lost so far I was able to do those things, and it's motivated me to keep going! I'll update with my points for the last couple of weeks. I've been exercising a lot, and funnily enough have been doing push ups this week as part of the shred DVD so will claim some of them too! Haha

Well it sounds like you will have earned a lot of points last week.
2 exercise points a day if you did 1 hour exercise as normal.
You get another 2 mini bonus points if you did a further half hour of exercise every day (from Friday 8th to Thursday 14th).

If you know that you did at least 1.5 hours of exercise every day that is 14 + 14 points that you can claim on the form that was supposed to be filled in last week.

On top of that there was 1 point per day up for grabs that week for every day that you kept a lot of all food, water and exercise... If you happen to have done that - type up the logs and claim it...

Anna - you have your scoresheet to fill in for the week 1st to 7th too - just before you went away.

Check your records and see whether you did any of those pilates hundreds exercises... There were points for doing it on five days that week... The other thing is doing standard exercise of up to an hour...

Here's some points for the contest. It's a horrible picture of me after a day in the field on Saturday. I'm wearing a vintage fit tshirt that my wife bought me that doesn't fit. The only reason the picture was taken is because I had gotten new plugs for my ears in the mail that day and one side didn't fit. I hung a padlock in that ear to stretch it and when my wife saw she decided we needed to "capture the moment". 5 points!

Edit: I added a way before. Probably near 400 in the before pick. 328 in the recent one.
