Good morning!

I've been going through a little depression these past few days. Staying in the house, very low energy, etc. I think maybe its just this emotional roller coaster of the past few weeks that has gotten to me. The weather has been very dreary too. So, today I'm going to pick myself back up and get on with life. I have found to do lists very helpful during these bouts of the blues. Here's my little goal list for the day:

Gym
Clean dining room
See Patsy
Pay bill
Walk or take dog to pet store
Call friend

Hope everyone has a great day!

It's normal to feel down after so much emotional rollercoaster-riding. Don't feel guilty about it. I hope a quiet day will help you pick yourself up again.

You've had a lot going on in terms of stress. It might be time to be a bit gentle with yourself. I get that the weather can just be wearying after a time. Even though it's cold where I live, we often get those sparkling days that make it manageable.

With depression it seems to help to stay busy and just force yourself through it..

Hello! I have been a very negligent diarist ...

I have been working out, just taking it a bit more easy. Today I did 20 min on the stair mill and a full body weight routine with abs. Still struggling with diet. Rome wasn't built in a day, I guess. Just happy to be moving instead of on the couch.

House is at a standstill due to weather. It's been raining for the past several weeks. Not every day, but enough to keep the soil too wet to pour foundation. The delays are a PIA but what can I do? Absolutely nothin!

The weather is what it is. At least while the house is resting you still have some time and energy for diet&exercise. Good to see you´re still around!

It's supposed to be 70 today, so my plan is to take the dog for a long walk at the park, clean up the house a bit, and then I have a meeting tonight.

Today it's currently - 6 C so that would be damned fine skating weather. Maybe after work if it doesn't cool down too much. It's supposed to snow and go below -20 for the next 4 nights. A bit under 0 F in your speak. I still have yet to manage a single skate outing this winter although Spice and my skates are at the ready. I hope you had a great opportunity to enjoy your fine weather.

Hi, Jen. Hope the weather stays fine so that your house can get moving along. That will be good for the spirit. As you are getting through your Winter, we are now seeing our Summer petering out :( Oh, well.....it's our turn! xoC

Cate - it is supposed to rain until the end of the month. I'm not too upset about all the delays - maybe it's happening for a reason! I don't know the future, so I'm just trusting that it will all work out the way it's supposed to.

Yesterday, I did cardio - stair mill, walking, abs. I am on L5 stair mill now. I started off on L3. Slowly but surely I am becoming one of those stair mill robots! :D

Happy Monday!

It has been 3 months since I began this diary and journey. Although my diet has yet to get on track, I have made progress in the exercise department. I have been working out at least 3 times per week for 12 weeks now (with the exception of a break during Christmas when I was in Florida).

So, now the fun part - progress made! Here are a few lifts in which I have progressed ...

Box Squat
Start: bodyweight
Now: 45 lbs front squats

Bench Press
Start: 45 lbs
Now: 55 lbs

Military Press
Start: 20 lbs
Now: 35 lbs

Straight leg Deadlifts
Start: 30 lbs
Now: 55 lbs

BB Row
Start: 30 lbs
Now: 45 lbs

Leg Press
Start: sled only
Now 90 lbs

Can't leave out the stair mill! When I first got on it, I could only do 5 min on L3. Today, I did 13 min on L5 before lifting and after lifting I did 17 min on L4 with L6 intervals, double steps, and side steps.

Hope everyone has a great day! :D

Better than I had supposed. But you're calling it breakfast and I thought it was a snack.

Nice improvements on the workouts.

Technically, yes it's breakfast. I don't eat before the gym (usually). I am not a morning eater. Three cups of coffee and I'm good until after the gym - by then I am starved!

Well done, Jen. Your progress is something to be proud of xo
