Yeah, I think that happens as we age. But sore muscles from exercise is a good sore... if there is one. Good for you on the exercise, hope I can get back to the gym soon.

I know what u mean, I don't feel great about my weight though with having put on weight recently. I know working out can have a good effect on your body + mind with the endorphins it releases etc.
I'm to the point where I look forward to the workout and can't wait for the next time. Yesterday, I feel like crap though. It was the combination of a lot of exercise and I mowed. I always feel bad the next day or two after mowing.

That's half the battle if you enjoy the workout. I am more active nowadays, I do alot more steps than i used to although I haven't been taking note recently. I do want to start working out at some point.

I just started out really slow. I used to do a program called Power 90. There is a phase 1 (about 8 reps per exercise). Then phase 2 (about 8 - 12 reps per exercise and adds additional exercises). I'm doing about phase 2. I modified a few exercises for my hernia and added a few others. I work out Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I generally walk some every day. Mon, Wed, and Fri are full body workouts. That way I get some rest and less like to miss a workout. I've worked out 6 days a week before (different body parts on different days) but burn out pretty quick. This way I'm seeing results (not weight loss) and don't feel like I am working out constantly. The ole body can only take so much. My sister was working out 6 days a week, but her knees are swelling. I think I've convinced her to come over to the dark side so her body gets more of a chance to recover between workouts.

It sounds like you're well into the swing of things with your workouts. For me the first few workouts are the hardest part, if I can get them done ok then I get into a routine. I take my dog out for a walk (well, he sits in his doggy stroller) for about 15 mins everyday which I'm used to and quite enjoy.

I hear that. Getting started is the worst part for me. I'm glad you have something to enjoy. These days are hard enough as is.

Yeh I usually do 5000+ steps a nowadays with taking my dog out. I'm also occupying myself these days by coding a small app/game with an application called Unity. Unity makes game/app development much much easier, there is some manual coding involved (in C#) but 95% of it is done automatically. Doing it to learn, keep myself from getting bored etc. I recall you saying you were doing some writing, how's that going?
