that sounds like a good plan! i exercised for the 1st time in a few weeks 2 days ago and i'm aching, i only did a bit! what exercise type are u doing, i assume it's cardio? i've been doing weight resistance training but literally only a bit...like 4 sets per muscle group, 2 muscle groups per day, so 8 sets a day in total. takes me 20-25 mins. but i'm finding it hard getting the motivation to do it...gonna watch pumping iron today for inspiration lol
Yeah pretty much cardio. Like yesterday, I walked three times, did some weed eating (not that there is any grass because we haven't had any rain to speak of in the last couple of months. There is some small bushes growing up in the fence line and I like to keep them trimmed back.), and a bunch of house cleaning, lifting boxes, moving around and stuff. And I also walk the property to pick up trash and stuff. We live on a corner lot and it's amazing how much comes our way.
I was reading an article yesterday, where they took a group of men and put them on a diet. At first they lost steadily. And then after a while stalled. Sometimes, they'd eat a lot more calories and then lo and behold they were down 2 to 3 pounds the next day. They called it the 'whoosh' effect. That's what happens to me. I really feel like calorie wise I am losing weight and supposed to be losing weight according to the numbers, yet it doesn't show on the scale. I'm drinking consistently the same amount of water each day. And I tend to retain water anyway. So one day a week I may have a lot higher calorie count, but I did try and compensate yesterday by more activity. We'll see. I just want to lose weight.
Pumping Iron as in Arnold? If so, I fell in love with that as a kid and that's how I got started into weight lifting, not body building though. In middle school, I went to a private school (sounds more glamorous than what it was. We were poor. I did a paper route to afford the tuition.) I went to National Competition for Christian schools in weightlifting (ages 13-14). I didn't do particularly well. I finished 6th place one year, and 4th the next year. Just missing a medal. Ugh lol. Those were the days. I played a lot of different kinds of sports growing up and into young adulthood, but wasn't the greatest at any of them. Have a great day Sir!
