Weigh Yourself Everyday (or frequently) Club

March 2022 - Started at 181 ended at 176, a bit of a roller coaster, but down 5 lbs, not a bad thing!
April 2022 - Started and ended at 175, despite staying on track pretty well for the month. Could have been worse.
May 2022 - Started at 175 and dropped to 166, kinda made up for no loss in April. Probably won't try to go below the 160s.

This is out of control. I am really upset. It is so hot 100+ and I'm drinking a lot, but obviously retaining too. But it could be the scales too, still, it never goes down this crazy.

I'm going to try and do about 1 hour at least working in the yard and walking. It's so hot, at least I should sweat and help with the water retention.

Today's Goal: Weed Eat the front lawn (normally I mow one day and do everything else the next day since property is kinda big for me). And pick up some dead tree limbs.
 
Suggestions on accurate or at least semi accurate way to determine calories from exercise? I use an online calculator which I put in my age, weight, how long, and as close as I can get to the type of exercise, but I wonder still how accurate it is. For instance, like mowing the lawn. Across a variety of sites, the estimates are all over the place.

i'm no expert but i think maybe you should get that information from a variety of sources and just average them out. calories burnt depends on so much such as body weight, muscle mass etc.

No expert here either, I use the myfitnesspal ap but then greatly reduce their estimate. By a factor of 4 or so.

I don't think there is a good way to do it. So when trying to lose I make sure I am in a deficit without the exercise. Then just think of the exercise calorie loss as a bonus.

@Llama and or @Trusylver may have some actual expertise on the matter.

Still no scale here, but I am optimistic that I am not gaining, much anyway.

Saw a scale in the grocery this morning so I stepped on it. Glad I did, but not sure how accurate it was. I'll take it anyway.

I figured I'd be up a little bit today. I didn't feel good yesterday. I felt a little dehydrated when I got up. We also just had a major weather change. I didn't do any yard work, so I didn't sweat nearly as much yesterday. I watched my calories and only went over my BMR total by 150. I feel better today so far. I plan on trying to do more yard work.
