268.8 down from 274. Before I had lost back down to 243, but then I went 5 months where I didn't gain or lose anything, and I got discouraged with all of the stress and gained back up to 260, so I'm trying to make my way back down again. <200 seems like a dream.
well dreams can come true, stick with it. 4+lbs loss in 1 week is very good, imagine that every week, you'd soon make it.

yeah but it doesn't stay that way. At first, it will go down pretty quick and then the next thing I know it is only like a pound or two a month so I need to figure out what is going on when I get to that point this time. but thanks for the encouragement anyway.

Tom, I liked your post on eating, drinking, and mowing. No one ever gained weight as the result of mowing, LOL! Early on in my diet I gave up about 95% of my drinking and it really helped. Now I have probably 4 drinks a month, and don't miss it at all. It took a while not to miss it. Oh, and don't drink and mow, not a good combination.

I know I have been absent here, and it has not served me well, but I am back and will try to keep posting with more regularity. Obsession with weight is not my goal, but long term it is the one unbiased metric. Keeping an eye on it helps me, I know it does.

Feb 2022 - Saw a peak of 188; started recording weight daily on the 22nd at 184, dropped to 181 by the end of month.
March 2022 - Started at 181 ended at 176, a bit of a roller coaster, but down 5 lbs, not a bad thing!
April 2022 - Started and ended at 175, despite staying on track pretty well for the month. Could have been worse.
May 2022 - Started at 175 and dropped to 166, kinda made up for no loss in April. Probably won't try to go below the 160s.

Well in this case drinking was water, coke, and gatorade. I don't drink. My family however was a different story.

It is so hot. Yesterday was 104. I don't even want to know the heat index. We have a leak in the backyard and I mowed it short to try and determine where. Man, did I sweat. I soaked my clothes several times and was thirsty the rest of the day.

And probably humid, that's awful! We only get that hot on rare occasions, and it is quite dry here when it does. I was in Bahrain once and it got to 110 at 90% humidity, glad I don't live in a place like that... What's leaking? Your water line?

a pipe burst it looks like. we are in the process of digging it up and finding out the next step. ugh. today is going to be cooler at 96! cold front!!!!! woohooo

That's a real pain. A couple of year ago we had a waterline leak. Our waterlines are buried about 5 ft to stay below the frost zone, and we have about 200 feet of line. Finding it was a real challenge and pretty destructive. Hope yours goes better.
