Great new low Angel! And Err you did real well holding on vacation, hope I do so well. And you are back into the 210s! LaMa, do what is best for you. Me I can't help obsessing over my weight, and I think it has helped keep me down and on track. No stress from it, but if it is adding to your stress level, don't weigh every day, just check in when it feels right.

Got home late last night. Weird how I had zero new bests during my week at the beach despite maintaining a 300-1700 calorie deficit each day. Maybe the salty air and uneven cabin floor made the scale read differently?

It took nearly 1 month, but I finally have a new best "high bia" body fat percentage ("high BIA" being the scale's body fat reading I get first thing in the morning, "low bia" being the reading I get after exercise & a shower). Hopefully my refocused attention on strength training will keep this going down...

I'm a bit irritated by the recent lean mass loss and will be targeting an even smaller calorie deficit going forward. I'll also be trying to tailor my daily calories to that day's activities rather than trying to eat somewhat consistent calories meant for the prior week's averaged exercise calories.
 
I see all is progressing quite well without me! Still no scale here.

Err, you are quickly disappearing, and Angel, very impressive weight losses.

I expect to gain a few pounds from this vacation, I am eating more than when at home. But I started it at a weight well below my target, so all should be well. I can probably weigh in Saturday morning, see y'all then!

A bit too rapidly I'm afraid. I'm going to take a maintenance week to get used to the idea of eating 4000-5000 calories healthily (to balance the 1000-2000+ I'm often burning in endurance exercise)...

I am back, and I see lots of good progress whilst I was away. Err, it sounds like you have made some reasonable decisions, you have been loosing a lot of weight quickly, a bit of maintenance makes sense. And you got into the 210s before doing it, very impressive. Angel continues to make good progress, and Vic is sticking with us as well.

I probably picked up a couple of pounds on vacation, but am still in the 140s this morning. I am happy with that.

  • August began 161, ended 159, ranged 163 to 159.
  • September began 160, ended 158, ranged 160 to 154.
  • October began 159, ended 158, ranged from 155 to 162.
  • November began 160, ended 153, ranged from 153 to 164.
  • December averaged 156 and ranged from 151 to 159.
  • January 2021 averaged 155 and ranged from 149 to 160.
  • February averaged 156 but ranged wildly 145 to 166.

Was feeling a bit run down so I cancelled my plans for a 180-min bike ride today. Still walked >1 hour and did a little strength training, but the lack of cardio dramatically lowered my calorie needs. I felt slightly hungry on 3150 calories after eating 4500 the day before so I'm not sure how this daily calorie balancing is going to work out. Tomorrow has an hour run + 90 min ride so it should be another 4500 calorie day...

Err, I know it is hard for me to cut calories once I have increased. I neither eat as much or burn as much as you do, but I think I would have trouble with both. It does however seem to work for you. Going down 30% in calories leaves me pretty hungry. I actually did that yesterday for different reasons and I am hungry this morning.
  • August began 161, ended 159, ranged 163 to 159.
  • September began 160, ended 158, ranged 160 to 154.
  • October began 159, ended 158, ranged from 155 to 162.
  • November began 160, ended 153, ranged from 153 to 164.
  • December averaged 156 and ranged from 151 to 159.
  • January 2021 averaged 155 and ranged from 149 to 160.
  • February averaged 156 but ranged wildly 145 to 166.
