Hey guys...I'm back. Had a rough couple of weeks. Husband has been sick, but covid test is negative. Joined a gym. Weight has been all over the place, need to change the batteries possibly? I posted a thread asking for help with my new gym routine if you guys wanna look and make some suggestions ??

Hey Korrie, good to see you back! Hope you had a good holiday. Err, good to see you holding your losses, and still in the mid 230s.

LaMa, thanks for reposting my old post, and it seems you are right it does appear my 149 is real. I have decided to up my calories a little. Kind of interesting that I maintained pretty well in the 150s for a few months and now have started to see little loss. My exercise is not up, if anything its down a little. Maybe my metabolism is slowly coming back, according to the MFP app I have been in calorie deficit and should have been losing weight all along... Oh well, 149 isn't much below the 150s, trivial really, just a bit of a warning.

I hope it´s your metabolism recovering, but it could also be that you´re getting back to the training intensity you used to be at. I dunno, but I really hope your extra calories will work!

Lost & gained 4 lbs within the same week - the body is a strange thing...
 
Hey Err, I find losing and gaining 4 lbs in a week a pretty common thing. I have started weighing every night and every morning, I only record the morning weight, but I can tell you I lost 5 pounds from last night to this morning. I am finding weighing a lot and watching how much I eat and drink and other things has helped me understand more about my weight variations. However it only seems to explain about 50%, the rest remains a mystery. As you know it is always the longer term trend that matters, and yours is really really good.

No wonder I was more hungry this week: I was actually in a pretty decent deficit if these numbers are accurate. My "overweight" limit according to bmi is at 75.6 kg, I think, so I'm officially healthy again :D

25.0% body fat is generally considered the threshold between "overweight" and "obese" in men so it'll be exciting to pass that milestone, though I expect it to be another 3 weeks before my Navy BF or average BIA BF dip that low. I probably won't dip below a BMI of 30, also an "obese" threshold, until late October (when I'm projecting having just 13% body fat).
 
Err, I think you are at that "threshold", body fat is a much better individual measure of obesity than BMI. Or in my non-expert opinion it is anyway. Congrats!

I am now up 9 pounds in 5 days... The 5 days have been resting and a few (~50 calorie per day) more calories. But I know there is no way I gained much fat in those 9 days. At least a part of it is my heavy veggie diet, I have eaten a lot of bulk, combined with my digestive cycle. I am a bit constipated... I really expect most of the weight to drop off and will try not to panic or make any big changes.
