The main thing is that you enjoyed your takeaway. That would explain the gain.
My food plan is pretty strict - but it allows me the flexibility to not count calories or weigh food too much unless things don't work. I dropped a lot of weight a few years back by doing very similar to this - with spot checks every so often to check that I was hitting targets...
I have gained up some weight last year and the year before and decided that I needed to address things properly before things got out of hand...
