I would like to join in please! I can't weigh myself until Monday because I am at my friends, but all this week at home I've weighed myself every day and ranged from 149.2 to 151.8 lbs. I had a takeaway this evening (felt INCREDIBLY guilty so burnt of 300 calories running/jumping around the room). It will be interesting to see if I've put any weight on from not being as strict with my diet.

Ok for me, I find it easier to keep to some basic rules rather than try to count things...
Counting things smacks very much of "being on a diet" and we have to do this as a "way of life for ever into the future"...
You cannot always weigh and measure things... so I try to follow simple rules instead...

- always try to eat healthily
old rules:
2 litres water
no more than one large bowl cereal
must take vitamins
low sodium option and do not add salt
no junk of any sort - but sugar free sweets and diet drinks are allowed
main meal - something healthy - but probably large portion and high protein
no bread
no cheese
very limited on use of rice, pasta, potatoes
lots of fruit
lots of Greek 0% yoghurt
regularly eat baked beans

new rules
2.5 litres water
no cereal
can have home made soup (using stock that I make myself from scratch to ensure low sodium)
must take vitamins
low sodium option and do not add salt
no junk of any sort - but sugar free sweets and diet drinks are allowed
main meal - something healthy - but probably large portion and high protein
no bread
no cheese
very limited on use of rice, pasta, potatoes
lots of fruit
lots of Greek 0% yoghurt
regularly eat baked beans - at least 3 cans a week (often more)

theory behind it:
calcium target 1000mg day - yoghurt and have vitamins to top up
fibre target 25g - fruit, veg / baked beans
protein target 105g - protein heavy main meal, Greek yoghurt, baked beans
sodium target no more than 2300mg

2 key items really help out this food plan:
Fage Total 0% Greek yoghurt: I buy and eat by 500g tubs
100g has calcium 104mg calcium, 10.3g protein for 57 calories
Tesco light choices baked beans: I buy and eat 420g cans
100g has 4.3g protein, 3.8g fibre for 70 calories

I am hoping that my calories magically stay around the 1630 than 10 times weight is...

I do a lot of exercise every day...

The big rule change is axing my weetabix...

Wow, that is very strict! I don't think I could axe sugar, cheese or bread though! Yesterday's weight was 149.2, and today's is 150.2. I'm guessing that's because I had a takeaway last night. Got to cheat at some point though!
